A question lore wise regarding warp storms..... Example say a world gets enveloped in a warp storm for a thousand years then reimerges to real space, could the space marines on that world survive untainted? or would it be totally over run. Was thinking Maybe only a hundread or so year had passed for them being in the warp and they bunkered down and fortifid a posistion? fighting off what Just playing around with some ideas for some lore.

Sorry of this is the wrong place

Well the warp serves as 40k's catch-all plot mcguffin that you can kind of do anything with. There are stories of people who go into the warp for a few minutes and end up possessed (Gal Vorbak), and others who survive for centuries/millennia on daemon worlds without falling to Chaos (Vorpal Swords and kind of, maybe Altansar). If you wanted to have some Space Marines who held out in the warp for a hundred years untainted, well, it wouldn't be the first time.

This may sound kind dumb but, is it the planet specifically is surrounded by warp storms, or is the system as a whole surrounded. If the planet itself is being warp stormed up, I'm gonna say survival chances are a fair bit lower, since it is such a localized event it would seem the planet itself is being targeted for chaotic corruption. If it's the system as a whole, I'd say survivability goes up, since it becomes more of a strange space phenomena.  But yeah, it's device to move the plot along with some minor rules.
