The MT warlord trait gives ( i'm guessing just the Scion Prime) the ability to deny once per psychic phase.

 

Thier doctrine is whenever shooting at half range, each to-hit roll of 6 generates another attack.

 

Might be nice for some old Inquisitorial Stormtroopers. And the deny could fit in quite well.

Yeah Scions got relatively weak buffs in the codex, but they're already so good as a base unit it hardly matters. 

 

I've been on the receiving end of their grav-chute alpha strike, its painful as hell. Their meltaguns and plasma hit hard and accurate, and they don't fear overcharging because they're dead next turn anyway. Plus their dirt-cheap Prime hands out two re-roll 1's orders a turn.
