Welcome to the Legions Reborn Project

So what Is the Legions Reborn?
Myself and 17 others are working away, creating a new timeline were the 18 existing legions are replaced with 18 of our own. Though the main focus is lore were working away on models, rules and art.

What can you expect?
We will be posting about everything in this new universe, from general lore about the legions to small stories about characters and events.

Many in the project hope to share with you models we've created for the project as well as rules we are developing.

We want your help
We are working with a complex universe with tonnes of lore, there will be things we've missed or plot points that might not make sense. We would love feedback so we can improve the overall project and create a more interesting universe.

The Ashen Crows
gallery_94809_13812_460985.jpg

Legion Number: XI
Legion Size: 140,000
Legion Tactics: Anti-Xenos, Experimental weaponry.
Primarch: Galvarian The First Ember
The Ashen Crows are seekers of knowledge and peace where possible, tasked with the discovery and studying of new worlds and xenos. They believe themselves fuel for the fires of progress, risking themselves to protect the innocent. Though kind in nature they will do dark things for a good course. They will often collect world’s criminals for experiments or offer them a place amongst the legion. Seeing them as the only people worthless enough to spend centuries suffering in war.
Though masters of all scientific fields the primarch Galvarian and his legion specialise in biology. Each sergeant is given basic apothecary training, their apothecaries are the most skilled in the Imperium. Other than the emperor himself no one understands space marine and primarch anatomy like Galvarian.
Thanks to their scientific minds they have been able to discover a vast amount the falaxy around them for the imperium, developing a wide range of technology and tactics each with its own purpose to deal with the Xenos threat. Due to this need to study and test the Ashen Crows made relatively slow progress in the great crusade, though thanks to their efforts the Imperium has been able to push back the Xenos at a much faster rate. It’s not until the Primarch introduced a new recruiting and training tactic that the legion size spikes and become greatly more prominent in the great crusade.
Galvarian has always sorted to bring light and prosperity to mankind, and has delved into a many dark acts to achieve this, as the crusade went on his view of light and dark starts to blur tragedy would reach the Primarch and the Ashen Crows.
A legion broken the heresy would test their loyalty to the Primarch.

I'm extremely intrigued by the project and will be regularly visiting.

Also a little confused. You mention 18 Legions, but the first Legion posted is the Eleventh. Does that mean the two Lost Legions belong to different numerals?

Our missing legions will belong to different numbers yeah, changing up a bit. Also I had already painted tonnes of XI on my Ashen Crows so haha

The Consuls Exemplar

gallery_94809_13812_7522.png

Legion Name: Consuls Exemplar
Legion Number: XIII
Legionaries: 70,000 - 100,000
Primarch: Gaius Caligula, Aquilor Bucilarius, Warmaster of the Great Crusade
The XIIIth legion; the Consuls Exemplar, are well rounded, hyper malleable, elite strike operatives that believe they are advancing the best possible future for mankind. Marching to war in shining golden plate and the various livery of thousands of individuals, the legion avoids collateral damage and civilian casualties at all costs to their own forces. This altruistic form of warfare leads to heavy use of Ambush and hit and run tactics, as well as direct “hammerblow” assaults at vital enemy targets. The Warmaster always gives leadership of human colonies and civilisations a chance to meet peacefully and on their own terms, clad in his immense terminator plate Gaius will meet whomever claims themselves leader and try to resolve the planet’s compliance peacefully. Should a planet’s leadership prove to be an enemy of the Imperium, Caligula will execute the leadership on the spot; and using a complex teleportation matrix built into his armour, Gaius can call several elite Consuls Kill Teams to his side. These Kill teams will clean out the capital fortress and establish a drop zone for further Consuls forces to deploy directly to the Primarch’s location allowing the XIIIth legion to fight a war from within the enemy's’ own circles of defense against a scattered and disorganized foe.
The Consuls believes that to truly unite humanity we must show them the lengths at which the Imperium is willing to go to protect and liberate them; even if the leadership of these humans are enemies of the Imperium. Consuls “Bucilator” teams are left behind on newly compliant planets to help guide the growth of the new leadership and report any problems back to the Primarch should another Strike Team be required for ensured compliance. Often the Tribunes from the Bucilator teams become favored advisors to new planetary governors, and in a few uncommon instances Tribunes have become Planetary Governors in their own right. These Tribunes also act as the eye of Gaius when looking for possible legion recruits. The Warmaster Believes that finding the best of as many worlds as possible will lead to the XIIIth legion being stronger as a whole. As such the Consuls Exemplar are a veritable melting pot of ethnicities, cultures, and experiences.
Planets left in the Consuls wake are seeded with remembrancers, scientists, and researchers. This is to both spread the knowledge gained by the Imperium, sharing in the newly complaint world’s growth, and also to learn and document everything that can be found about a planet’s history, technology, culture, and biology. Each step of the Crusade involving the Consuls being captured and publicised to give humans everywhere hope and pride in their Imperium, their Warmaster, and above all their Emperor. To aid in this endeavour, (and to feed Gaius’ vanity, some within the legion would say quietly,) the XIIIth fleet contains more humans of all types, than any other legion has been known to have regular contact with. Flooded with remembrancers and scientists, as well as humans from compliant worlds wishing to see the galaxy and other civilizations, or scholars and adventurers looking for new futures. Humans of all stripes have been welcome aboard the Consuls Exemplar support fleets and Gaius has spent much of his own time wandering among them and learning what brought each individual to such a dangerous and exciting environment in the first place.
The Primarch of the XIIIth is a paragon of humanity and he expects each of his legionaries to strive and be the same. Encouraging constant reading and learning in his Astartes, Caligula has amassed a vast library of history and lore from across thousands of cultures, each left a better place by the passing of the Aquilifer Bucilarius. The Consuls train constantly in various styles of warfare, and will adopt tactics found in the armies and histories of compliant planets, perfecting the tactics over hundreds of battles with constant use and small adjustments. Astartes from the XIIIth can be found indulging their preferred intellectual or physical pursuits with like minded brothers and many of the Consuls form close brotherhoods that carry over into the battlefield as the Astartes join specific Decurio based on joining battle with those they know best. As such despite risking their own forces at any cost to save the lives of innocent humans, the Consuls show a surprisingly low casualty count as brother helps brother in a show of camaraderie that is uncommon even among Astartes. Many Kill Team leaders refusing to leave members of their teams behind or taking up training in the legion Apothecarium becoming legion apothecaries and the most honored of Augusti Kill Team leaders.
Consuls Exemplar are Primarily drawn from the 5 planets controlled by the United Achaean Cults (The Secretive group of scientists that saved Caligula from a life amongst an Apostle’s Flock), the largest source of legionary recruitment being the planet Dux, Caligula’s home planet and the home of many of his closest acquaintances. Dux is a mountainous planet with several oceans split into 12 continents during the time of Caligula’s “youth,” each controlled by an Apostle forcing their followers into submission with brutal theocratic regimes and lies. Gaius is eventually subdued and kidnapped by the UAC where he is taught sciences and truths and sees finally the tragedy of the world he had been living in all his life. Sent to visit the other facilities Giaus runs directly into the Great Crusade. After Caligula takes control of the XIIIth Dux is subjected to a war of compliance where the Apostles are executed and the people are given access to the same knowledge and technology that taught Caligula the true wonders of the galaxy. Each UAC controlled planet was dedicated to a unique form of scientific study and as such recruits from each world are wildly different and tend to fall into different roles within the legion.
The Consuls Exemplar aren’t organized as traditionally as other Astartes Legions. Cohorts are the largest organizational structures within the legion. Each Cohort contains drastically different numbers of recruits the smallest being a mere 150 Members while the largest contains 10,000. Within each Cohort is several Decurio and each is dedicated to specific form of warfare (or research in the case of some of the more secretive, invitation only, Decurio.) Each legionary is free to choose which Decurio he feels his skills would be most useful to and is encouraged to try out short tours of duty with several Decurio to further round their skills and find their true niche within the legion. When it’s time for war the XIIIth draw members from all over the legion to organize a specialized task force known as a Legio. A common Legio is known as the Shadow of Dux, in which stealth, sabotage, and marksmen specialist are drawn together to hunt and eliminate designated targets on the outside of typical warfare scenarios. Whenever a force is required for open war the Solar Auxilia Army known as “Caligula’s Legion” is brought to the forefront supported by Decurio that consist mainly of newer legion recruits or veterans that found a home within the tactical and support squad formations of the legion.
Gaius Caligula is a Diplomat, Scholar and Warrior. He encourages his legion and his brothers to expand their horizons and challenge what is known on a regular basis. Constantly reading and spending time amongst the cultures of a newly compliant planet Caligula is often seen as Soft Hearted or easily persuaded with emotion by his more “focused” brothers. Known as the Aquilifer Bucilarius or “Voice of the Eagle” by those close to him Gaius only truly started to embrace the title coined by his old mentor Setta Marxim once he was crowned Warmaster of the Great Crusade. Though Caligula knows his brothers believe him blinded by the Emperor as some sort of father, Gaius only keeps the ruse up for the face of the Crusade. In truth Gaius has very little love for the Emperor and does not consider him a father, merely a man with power and technology that shared his own goals for the future of humanity. However, despite any lack of true affection for the Emperor, Gaius understands the vastly positive effect pomp and circumstance can have for the morale of humanity, soldier, and civilian alike, and constantly plays to his role; much like the Emperor does himself. Whenever Gaius and the Emperor meet for private conversation there is friction, for Gaius desire to help and improve humanity as a whole are at odds with the Emperor’s true goals which have been kept secret throughout a majority of the crusade. The Emperor constantly tells Caligula that his compassion for humanity, and his open minded nature will be his downfall.

Only 25-30k marines in the Warmaster's Legion?

Yeah, smaller in size but elite with a huge range of tactics and flexibility, before and during the heresy they do expand their numbers.

Do you feel it's to small?

It's your project, but I would think so. To put this relative to canon, the smallest Legion, The Thousand Sons, numbered either 10,000 (Black Library) or 80,000 (Forgeworld). And the reason for this was because every single marine was a psyker. Our smallest Legion is still 20,000 marines and that's because they're all Pariahs.

Also, think of this, the Sons of Horus were considered the best of the best and still numbered well over 100,000. In fact no Legion numbers less than 50,000 with the potential exception of the Thousand Sons.

That makes sense, we will defiantly review that aspect.

The Dust Stalkers

gallery_94809_13812_615.png

Legion Number - XV

Legion size - 90,000

Primarch - Durgatha, The Wanderer

Homeworld - Rhodetheon

Encompassing speed and Brutality the 15th legion (Dust stalkers) are one of the twenty legiones Astartes. Led by the Primarch Durgatha the legion has become a fighting force of unsurpassable marksmen and battlefield raiders. Few can match a dust stalker with a gun. Pistols and rifles are highly favoured by the legion and its Master armourers have perfected countless forms of unique ammunitions and weapons of both terran and Rhodetheon design.

In combat the legion Looks to break apart their opponent. Isolating key elements before the legions elite assault infantry can rain down from Above to tear apart the foe. Though the legion is adept at close combat like all Astartes they often shun it, trying their best to stay away from close combat foes instead they will wittle down the enemy with hails of bullets. Those that are engaged in combat will often blast their way clear with precise close quarters volleys. The legion is also famed for its loose cannon approach to orders. lacking any respect for other imperial authorities. Especially the beaurocratic arm of the Administratum and Adeptus Terra this has caused the legion to be viewed by orthers as unruly and dishonourable. The remarks levelled against them often causing hostilities between the two. Even going so far as to have caused hostilities between Durgatha and the shield captain Constantine Valdor. A feud that festers till the end of the heresy. Yet faced with the negatuve view of terras beaurocracy on the field of battle they are staunch allies. Often coming to the aid of beleagured imperial army forces. Durgatha himself is famed for returning to the battle to recover fallen officers and line soldiers of the imperial army personally. Carrying them clear

Or standing over them till medicae can arrive.

The legions fall came as a shock to many of Durgathas brothers as few knew him well enough to judge him fully. He was always distant with his brothers only ever rwally meeting with them on state occasions. Durgathas fall saw him slip further from the imperiums light. His legion collapsing around him. The promise of toppling the corrupt imperium keeping the fracticious legion together till the siege of terra.

The Sirens of Kastar

med_gallery_94809_13812_17359.jpg

Legion Name - Sirens of Kastar

Legion Number - V
Legion Size: 100,000 (Pre Heresy)
Primarch - Calandrial Hex, the Siren King
Homeworld - Kastar
Known for their unconventional tactics and preferences to vehicles that glide over the battlefield rather than roll over it the Fifth legion known as the Sirens of Kastar are one of the twenty legions of Space Marines under the Service of the Imperium of man. Led by their Primarch Calandrial Hex the Legion became an incredibly tactful force to be reckoned with during the Crusade, with vast fleets of Rogue Trader vessels under their service. These vessels providing the necessary support and influence for the Sirens of Kastar to be at the front of the Crusade advance.
The Sirens of Kastar are privateers in nature, Calandrial Hex is widely considered the founding father to legalised piracy in the Imperium. Most of the Imperium’s sanctioned Rogue traders fall under his command and carry detachments of the Legions space marines into the frontiers of Imperial space. Kastar itself was once a beautiful ocean world but by the time it entered the rule of Imperium the planet had been turned into a mobile fortress world capable of warp travel, its oceans burned away by years of Industrial progress and continent sized engines. These engines are relics from before the age of Strife, Salvaged from crashed vessels.
The Legions preference for Land Speeders and other vehicles using similar anti-gravitic plating allows them to glide across the battlefield with ease, this has made them a preference for deployment on Ocean worlds and planets with terrain that ground forces may find difficult to traverse. These vehicles are maintained and provided by the Mechanicum of Mars who in return for such machines are granted pilgrimage to Kastar’s numerous relics and ancient warp engines dating back to before the Age of Strife.
The legion’s presence in the far reaches of the Crusade led them to encounter the threat posed within the Ghoul stars, this conflict would sow seeds of rebellion within the Legion of which dishonour it would take Millennia to recover. Falling not to Chaos but instead to the resistance of Imperial law and the defence of tradition, many of the Legion would turn on their brothers whilst completely unaware of the Warmaster’s own betrayal at the manipulation of the ruinous powers.

The Gryphon Knights

gallery_94809_13812_14452.png

Legion name: The Gryphon Knights

Legion number: VII
Legion tactics: Mass Teleportation Strikes
Legion strenght: 120,000
Legion Primarch: Arturian - The Knight King, The Child of Hearts
Arturian, Primarch of The Gryphon Knights is the paradigm of justice and liberty for all.
Fighting to end oppression and see the fruits of life offered to all, he refuses to rest until mankind is united beneath one banner and his dream becomes a reality.
Motivated by compassion for those who can not defend themselves, the Knight King exemplifies the virtuos nature of the Emperor of Mankind.
Having landed upon the feudal world of Hadria after his gestation pod was abducted by the ruinous powers, Arturian was adopted by the planets monarchy.
Growing rapidly into a strong and proud yet kind and gentle man, Arturian was adored by all.
Upon his reunion with his father, The Emperor of Mankind and his legion, Arturian learnt of a wider galaxy that he could liberate from hardship.
Believing in his fathers vision and motivated by his own desire to aid those in need, the primarch left Hadria and along with his legion joined the Great Crusade.
However, not all was well on Hadria. Arturians brother, Lancellax - High King of Hadria grew jealous and bitter at finding himself cast in Arturians shadow.
Despite his later induction into the legion and appointment as Hadrias protector, Lancellax struggled to uphold the Gryphon Knights values and this led to confrontation between the brothers.
Lancellax was not alone in his feelings toward Arturian and the Gryphon Knights though and as the years past numerous seditionist and isolationist forces began to grow on Hadria.
Angered at the encroaching Imperium and the dillution of Hadrias culture, these forces began to conspire and as Arturian made enemies both human and xenos - the forces arrayed against him grew. When the heresy erupted with the dropsite massacre, the Gryphon knights had been manipulated by Lancellax into deploying only those loyal to Arturian - who coincidentally were almost all Terran.
Butchered and with no means of warning their Primarch, who had remained on Hadria having fallen victim to Lancellaxs vile xenos devices, it was left to Ursor - First Praetor of the Legion - to rally the survivors and make for home.
On Hadria, Lancellax had revealed his intentions after being discovered by Raziel - Champion of the Legion.
Leading to a bitter civil war as the Knights loyal to Arturian fought under Raziels command against those loyal to Lancellax, who held the Knight King captive.
Finally drawing Raziel out during the wars final titanic battle, Lancellax unvieled his final act against his once brother.
Utilising Dark Eldar technology, Lancellax had been siphoning Arturians essence into himself. Reducing the once mighty Primarch to a shell and turning himself into a terrible creature of dark power and intent.
Arriving to find Hadria engulfed in war, Ursor joined with Raziel to defeat Lancellax and the traitors but not before Arturian was mortally wounded rescueing Raziel from the abomination Lancellax had become. Hadria was ruined, its once beautiful lands now a vision of hell, the legion which was once strong and powerful was now shattered but the worst...was still to come.

The Scorpus Crusaders

gallery_94809_13812_1404.jpg

Legion Name: Scorpus Crusaders

Legion Number: XVI

Legion Size: 60,000

Legion Theme: Knight Crusaders/Masonic/Secret Sects

Legion Tactics: Siege Warfare, Infiltration and Sabotage, Mounted Cavalry Assault.

Primarch: Kaleb Dae’delion

The Scorpus Crusaders are a stalwart legion dedicated in service to humanity and it’s continued expansion across the known universe.

While the Scorpus Crusaders fight to preserve the Realm of the Imperium they bare little patience for civilians caught unwillfully in battle, believing those who choose not to fight, or who are too weak to do so, should stand aside for others more mighty and willing.

They will not hesitate to pull the trigger if civilians are too stubborn or ignorant to remove themselves from the line of fire, and though they are far from callous murderers as some other factions of the Imperium, their apparent disregard for the safety of civilians during war causes no small amount of tension between the Scorpus Crusaders and other, more nobler Legions.

Their Primarch, Kaleb Dae’delion, Leads his legion from the mobile star fortress known as the Deusius which he’d originally uncovered on his homeworld of Behldet prior to being bought into the Imperial fold. He is a mighty and indomitable force who leads his Astartes and those serving under him into combat with the glory and awe of a living god. His very presence on the field of battle rallies those under his command, and drives them to fight ever harder as his sheer force of will emanates from him in an almost palpable aura.

An exceptional warrior, he guns down his foes with the Legion’s uniquely crafted high-explosive bolter shells, fired rapidly from his wrist-mounted Bolt Caster.

In close combat he crushes those who stand before him with his mighty heavy-flail 'The Excoriator', and withers their attacks upon his shield, the 'Indomitable Voluntas'.

Kept at his belt is an ornate dagger coated in lethal venom powerful enough to lay a Space Marine low with a single graze. This Kaleb calls the 'Clandestine Barb' for he does not use it openly as a weapon, instead choosing the most opportune moment to make a single precise throw or strike at his opponent’s weakest spot, ensuring the venom-soaked blade lances their flesh.

Always seeking a challenging opponent or the chance to improve his abilities, Kaleb’s skill in combat is great enough that few may claim to match his seemingly endless endurance.

In terms of tactics and conflict the Scorpus Crusaders are not overly concerned with matters of void warfare, such exercises are better left to the Trepitus Auxilia who man the army’s space vessels.

The Legion’s main concern is getting from the air to the ground for which they have a number of deployment strategies.

A favoured approach utilised by them when facing huge, unbreachable cities or limited landing-zones, such as on Ocean Worlds, is to simply blast free a topographically tactical position from orbit and then unload troops en mass within the crater to sweep the area of any possible survivors. Their successful deployment is shortly followed by heavy armour, artillery, and the hasty construction of deployable, template-built fortifications.

Once on the ground, the Crusaders bombard the enemy’s lines or lay waste to their city’s key infrastructure from beyond the defensive walls.

This impressive show of firepower not only serves to soften their opponent but also ensures the successful infiltration of the Legion’s Excursor sabotage units, a specially trained undercover branch of the Legion, who make up the majority of the Secret Six-Thousand.

In open conflict however, the Crusaders take on an utterly unique approach.

Cloned from within the genelabs of the Apothecarium and mechanically augmented by the Techmarines of the Legion come the Equus Maximus. Genetically enhanced Behldeian warhorses designed by the Primarch Galvarien at the request of Kaleb, the Equus Maximus are purpose built to carry an Astartes rider in full power armour into battle. Also heavily armoured themselves, they’re capable of headlong charges into enemy ranks which would decimate any lesser cavalry units attempting the same. More manoeuvrable and silent compared to the typical Space Marine bikes, the Equus are capable of swift flanking tactics and shock-and-awe strategies, being particularly useful at breaking enemy formations.

In the early days of the Great Crusade shortly before reuniting with their Primarch the Scorpus Crusaders, then known as the Raiders of Steel, had suffered catastrophic losses to their forces.

Less than 10,000 Astartes remained and their armoury was left woefully under stocked. From this shattered Legion however, their newly inducted lord was eventually able to rebuild them from the ground up.

Prior to his joining the Imperium, Kaleb had already been well into the process of assembling a system-wide army with the goal of striking out into the galaxy.

However, this plan was swept up in the arrival of the Emperor.

Kaleb had instantly recognised this golden being from a vision he’d received as a child and knelt before him, submitting his forces, his system, and his destiny to the true Master of Mankind.

His army was inducted into the XVIth Astartes Legion, the Raiders of Steel, as a supplemental regimented Auxilia who trained to fight alongside the Astartes warriors.

These human soldiers would later come to be known as the Trepitus Auxilia after the star of their home system, and continued to fight closely alongside the Legion as it was bought back to strength.

It was during this consolidation of forces that Kaleb renamed the XVIth Legion to be the Scorpus Crusaders in honour of the Great Crusade and of his scorpion-infested Homeworld, Behldet, from which a great number of new Astartes were inducted.

The influx of new recruits brought with them many traditions and much culture from their home, most of which Kaleb openly encouraged, but among it all Kaleb personally wove the secretive ritual consumption of scorpion venom, known as Leirusium, into the upper echelons of his Legion as a test of initiation for powerful and trusted warriors, as it had been on Behldet.

Later it would be refined into a much less potent sweet liqueur which the Legion’s members openly consume like cheap wine, becoming slowly intoxicated as they do so. This was done at Kaleb’s command purely to hide the truth of Leirusium in plain sight, misleading many to believe it to be nothing more than an unusual beverage favoured by the Legion.

It was in fact this venom which had bought on Kaleb’s vision as a child, having been stung shortly after his arrival on Behldet by one of the native Deathstriker scorpions.

Though the incredibly lethal Deathstrikers were an ever-present threat, the people of Behldet had figured out how to filter the lethality from their venom and create a shamanistic brew, from which they received indescribable and oft inexplicable visions.

But even among the natives it was kept a closely guarded secret.

The Light Bringers

gallery_94809_13812_8307.jpg

Legion name: Light Bringers

Legion number: X
Legion size: 80000
Primarch: Abner Cassian, the Empty Sun
Homeworld: Alaunus
Legion tactics: Diplomatic envoys, total annihilation, untouchables
The Light Bringers are a study in contrasts. They fully believe in the use of diplomacy and reasoning against those who could be their enemy. The legion’s internal working rely on a council of equals to discuss how to engage a theatre of war. They work to illuminate the disparate threads of mankind into one whole tapestry, greater than its individual parts. But when war is declared, it is total. There is no quarter, no mercy. Any collateral is considered acceptable, no tactic is considered dishonest. For this reason, the Light Bringers are not typically well liked, either by their brother Astartes or by others in the Imperium. This is not to say they spend the lives of their allies cheaply, more that they care little for the lives of those they call enemy.
The Light Bringers’ primarch is one who people find easy to dislike. Abner is an untouchable, one who is anathema to the presence of the Immaterium. This creates an aura of discomfort for any with even a slight warp awareness, many times more so for any who are actually psykers. Whether due to this or some other quirk of fate, Abner is entirely without emotion. This is both a weakness and a strength. The lack of passion allows him to calmly discern the flow of the battlefield, to see which levers can be used to influence a man. But the negative is the lack of personality to drive his legion forward like some of his more charismatic brothers. Nevertheless, he is a force to be reckoned with.
For unknown reasons, the Light Bringers have huge number of untouchables within their ranks. Normally rare enough that on a hive world of billions, only a handful can be found, within the Light Bringers there are hundreds. This makes them one of the largest collection of untouchables within the galaxy, surpassed only by the Sisters of Silence, with whom they have much in common. This usage of blanks in a military format makes the 10th experts at facing psykers, such as the powerful witches of the Eldar. Subsequently, they are entirely without a Librarium. Instead, untouchables are trained together as part of the Vacuous Chorus, where their powers can be focused and used to greater effect. Due to the short range of their abilities, members of the Chorus focus at close ranged combat, either melee or assault weaponry.

The LongXi

gallery_94809_13812_6859.jpg

Legion name: LongXi

Legion number: XVIII

Legion size: 180,000

Primarch: Yuelian Ai, The Benevolent

Legion tactics: Qi (Enhancement Psyk-Power), Flexible tactic, depends on the requirement of the different battlefield, Supporter.

LongXi marines are brave and selfless helpers. “Help the weak” is their creed, imperial citizens’ safety is the most important thing for them. The most elite part of the army is lead directly by Primarch himself and running away the whole galaxy to support any human who suffers. LongXi have the different force with different training focus, like anti-infantry, anti-vehicle, defence. Main part of the legion is sending out to all other brother Legions to support them and all imperial army in the local area. Because of diversity inside LongXi Legion, they are capable to use almost every tactic and strategy. Leaders of every LongXi unit will evaluate the situation and decide the best strategy. When they are not fighting together with the friendly army, the core of army will be Qi user, all other force and strategy are deployed around them.

LongXi’s Primarch is a very humble and polite man. A man can be friend with anyone. He respects every man and every human culture he met. Even he dislike most of them, he will still help them whenever required. The most important thing in his life is family, his people and filial piety. He loves his people as sons and shows unconditional loyal to his father. In the same time, he is also a very stubborn and conservative man. Safety is the most important thing in his opinion, so he doesn’t allow his army use any of those dangerous unstable weapons which can hurt users. He doesn't really change his mind by other’s suggestion, even others are right.

All LongXi marines from their home-world are psykers, but they only use a special type psyk-power called “Qi”. This is a type of power mainly enhance user and healing, which can give them extra strength, toughness and speed. Even the home-world has great population, but it’s still too slow to get supply from one point. So all LongXi army which separates in different area of the imperium take their own responsibility to recruit from the local area. Sometimes they will receive reinforcement from the home-world to make sure they have Qi-force. LongXi is very close to the imperial army, they have built their own auxiliary and fight together with them. They take responsibility to protect lots of systems close to their territory, and those systems give LongXi manpower, human army and production capacity as a return.

Homeworld: Avvolem
Legion tactics: CQB fire fights/melee, pursuit.
The Wild Hunt Legion is a legion unlike any other. Led by their Primarch Woden the Hunt takes a world in a rapid bloody conflict slaying all in their path and hunting down those who try to escape, but for such brutal tactics the Wild Hunt brings much honor to the Imperium of man and the emperor himself as they fight ahead of the main crusade on the frontier worlds. Although the legion is not without its secrets. Do to a debt owed the Emperor allowed for the Primarch to use xenos of his home world, whom raised him, as auxiliary soldiers. As well the Legionaries slip into madness of the hunt from time to time, in which the marine becomes a brezerker only wishing to hunt and kill his enemies. The Wild Hunt is a tightly knit Legion who share in deep brotherhoods abd a burning respect for their Primarch. Woden is one who speaks when needed and is not one to waste words, though he takes pride in celebrating victories with his sons he is forever ready for the next battle... It is said that he too suffers for the hunts madness and thinks of nothing else but this is mearly speculation. The Legion would later suffer a betrayal so great that it would thrust them down the path of heresy and rebellion causing them to one day become the chosen hunters of the Blood God. The events of their history will be explained as the project progresses!

I think I could make something work...Paladins falling to temptation. Well it's not an unheard of concept. Frankly though, I don't want to put to much time into this concept unless I know I have a spot in this project. I don't mean to sound coincided, I've just been turned down enough times.

We always get a handful and vote on it, we cant confirm if we don't know about your legion, even then it wouldn't be fair on other applicants.
