Hey guys n gals!

Been a long long time since I've posted on here and thought why not!

Here's a list I've come up with! Thoughts and suggestions always welcome!

Concept and Idea! Captain, Chaplain, 5 Auto Bolt Intercessor's, Primaris, Primaris Lieutenant and the Primaris Ancient all jump in the repulsor and strong arm a location, Reivers drop in together on a single spot, Carbines for ranged assistance, melee Reivers for the combat support.

The 10 man Intercessor Squad would most likely combat squad onto two objectives supported by the Redemptor Dreads.

I do have a hellblaster squad available to mix and match if needed, most of the stuff i haven't bought yet to be honest either.

Battalion Detachment!

Captain In Gravis Armour
Primaris Chaplain - Armour Indomitus

Intercessor Squad - 10 men, Auxiliary Grenade Launcher, Bolt Rifles
Intercessor Squad - 5 men, Stalker Bolt Rifles, Auxiliary Grenade Launcher
Intercessor Squad - 5 men, Auto Bolt Rifle, Auxiliary Grenade Launcher

Primaris Apothecary
Reiver Squad - 5 men, Bolt Carbines, Grav Chutes
Reiver Squad - 5 men, Combat Knives, Grav Chutes

Repulsor - Ironhail Heavy Stubber, 2x Krakstorm Grenade Launcher, Twin Lascannon, Las Talon, Onslaught Gatling Cannon, 2x Fragstorm Grenade Launchers, Icarus Rocket Pod, 2x Fragstorm Grenade Launchers

Vanguard Detachment

Primaris Lieutenants - Ravens Fury

Primaris Ancient - Standard of the Emperor Ascendant

Redemptor Dreadnought - Icarus Rocket Pod, Redemptor Fist, Heavy Onslaught Gattling Cannon, Onslaught Gatling Cannon, 2x Fragstorm Grenade Launchers

Redemptor Dreadnought - Icarus Rocket Pod, Redemptor Fist, Macro Plasma Incinerator, Onslaught Gatling Cannon, 2x Fragstorm Grenade Launchers

Inceptor Squad - 3 men, Assault Bolter

Regards,
sKP.

Got a couple questions for you. Is this meant to be competitive? Is this Ultramarines? What is the point level you want to play at (1500 or 2k)?

What is your plan for the opponent's big baddies?

What is your meta like?

Your single repulsor seems like a big fat target.

FYI I'm a noob at gaming but those are the kinds of concerns that come to mind when I'm building a list.

Big Baddies.. not entirely sure to be honest, we're playing Escelation League, building from 500 all the way up to 2,000 so I honestly have no idea..

Meta - once again, It's Escelation so I have no idea what people are bringing.. But opponents will be Orks x2, Necrons, Tyranids, maybe Nurgle Marines.

Yeah, The repulsor does look like a fat target, kinda the whole point, I want as much firepower going into it as possible so I can cap points through objectives.

It's not ment to be competitive really, although I'd like to win - who wouldn't right?

It probably will go Ultramarines but fluff wise - it's my own chapter..

Points will be 2,000.

If that DG player brings Mortarion that could be nasty.  What kind of missions are you guys playing?  Straight out of the book?

So here is my general thought about your list. You are not running a lot of anti-tank/monster and are pretty susceptible to being overrun by hordes. I just finished playing at a tourney on Sunday and can tell you if you are running ultramarines you NEED to run Guilliman. I would run 1 or 2 devistator squads with lascannons and make a Guilliman gunline. Against hordes (at least in tourneys) you can beat them by simply running out the clock. I know you are going for an all-primaris list, but primaris can't deal with heavy stuff in my opinion. Also aggressors are really good anti-infantry/horde because of how many shots they can put out. I use them in my ravenguard list

I see what you’re saying and not a massive fan of Big man G! Here’s a second incarnation of my list.. once again, strictly primaris

Primaris Captain in Gravis
Lt with sword

3x 7 Intercessor squads w/no upgrades

Reivers, 7 men, cc specialists
Reivers, 7 men, carbines

2x 5 Hellblasters

Primaris Lt w/bolter

2x Aggressor squads,3men each

2x Redemptors w/ frag made launchers, heavy onslaught cannons etc etc

Sorry for the lack of response, pretty hard to do on my phone sadly!

sKP
Sorry for the double post - can’t seem to find the edit post on my phone - in response to my post just made - I’m willing to drop the Reivers if you have a suggestion?

If it's your iwn chapter I would go with Salamanders tactics.

The sheer amount of rerolls it gives you is game changing. It's like getting 40 free CP.

I played against a guy using Salamanders tactics for Blood Ravens. He had zero meltas or flamers and it was still brutal.

You corrected it in the second list, so I am sure you noticed, but the Primaris Lt. can not take Raven's Fury as Cawl forgot to design functional Jump Packs for the MkX armour.

In your second list I would probably play 6 Aggressors. You can always combat squad them but it gives you the option to reduce deployment drops and infiltrate the entire unit with the RG Stratagem and then combat squad later with Tactical Flexibility. Same goes for Hellblasters.

Also, why 7 dudes? Is not not better to max out Intercessors and keep Reivers MSU? Makes more sense to me, to be fair.

Caveated with me being a total 40k noob, so I'm asking to get a better understanding of list thoughts. I was wondering if you might need something with a deep strike capability, if only to be a potential backfield threat, especially without other transport options.

Primaris are mostly a brick to the face type army, with only reivers and inceptors bringing any kind of advanced deployment to the table. once he gets a few matches in his slo-gro sKP will have a better idea of what he needs.

My list will surely change throughout games etc, I've always played fast paced armies though, Dark Eldar, Harlequins, Eldar etc.. so wanted a slowly, punch you in the face army.
