Keirebu Posted November 3, 2017 Share Posted November 3, 2017 I've been thinking of picking up some Necromunda gangs to use as models for my R&H list, but I'm not sure what they'd be best for. So far I'm considering using them as various shades of marauders. Does anyone else plan on doing something similar, or do you think that they won't be a realistic option for army building? N1SB Posted November 5, 2017 Share Posted November 5, 2017 Does anyone else plan on doing something similar, or do you think that they won't be a realistic option for army building?  I wasn't before, but I am now! Thanks for this great idea, I hadn't thought about it.  The only thing I'm just waiting to see is if Warhammer Community releases some kinda unit entry to use Necromunda miniatures in 8th ed. This isn't idle speculation, it's based on how they did that with Age of Sigmar using the new Shadespire game's models.  Even then, I'd think with a different paint scheme and maybe some blood facepaint, I'd turn the Goliath gang into Covenant of Khorne guys.  This forum is just the gift that keeps on giving, great stuff. My Alpha Legion splinter warband took a liking working together with their subjects in the Geno 5-2 chiliad during the heresy, so I'll be using these quite a lot. Either way I'm almost only use conversions from DV chosen in my AL army, which are a bit larger...as are TS and DG models. Fhanados Posted January 4, 2018 Share Posted January 4, 2018 A friend of mine plays Necromunda and uses the DV Cultists as gangers (not sure what House, I don't really follow Necromunda) and they're very similar scale to the Escher minis - the massive hairdos is what gives the girls extra height.  Goliaths are intentionally massive. I think they'd make great Brutes for Marauder squads, although honestly I've never seen Marauders taken as anything other than sniper or special weapon spam units so I guess it depends on what you're doing with them. They'd also make cool Enforcers, I can imagine them bullying the unwashed masses into obedience. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
