Use of Third-Party Bits in Armies on Parade?

So, I'd like to do an Armies on Parade for next year, I got back into the hobby too late to participate this year but it'd give me a goal to work towards for next year. I want to do my own Nurgle Marine warband, but the plan I have involves a fair amount of third-party bits. Anyone know if that would disqualify me from taking part? I checked the rules for this year and it didn't specifically prohibit using them, but I know GW has been iffy on them in the past.

My local GW said that third party bits didn't disqualify, but it had to be minimal. There were a couple armies that had some small extra bits and bobs from 3rd party for decoration, but no 3rd party arms or legs, for example.

Dunno how well this translates to your local store, or if it's even an official stance - but it came out of the mouth of a GW store owner, so salt to taste.

Ah, it was stuff like heads, backpacks and maybe some legs I was planning on using, so that could definitely be a problem. The manager of my GW is pretty chill so hopefully he'd let it slide but those sound like the kind of things that would for sure be frowned upon.

As others have said it’s best to ask (and show) the manager directly.

I was surprised when I asked my local manager who said anything is okay so long as it’s not too obvious (“Don’t plonk a Gundam down on the table” were his words :D ).

It’s a relief as I too want to use some third-party 3-D printed bits.

I'll echo the "ask the manager" answer. For my local GW he doesn't mind 3rd party bits for games in store but for events (particularly painting and modelling ones) they're not allowed. Said he doesn't mind personally, but it's caused troubles in other stores in the past so he errs on the side of caution.
