Genestealers & Scything Talons

Doing this from Battlescribe so the rulebook may make a bit more sense.

 

I can give Genestealers Scything Talons​ but how many do they get.

 

In the Battlescribe abilities for Scything Talons it says

 

You can re-roll hit rolls of 1 when attacking with this weapon. If the bearer has more than one pair of scything talons, it can make 1 additional attack with this weapon each time it fights.

 

​So the question is, in a unit of 20 Genestealers do they get 3, 4 or 5 attacks each.

 

 

Also on the GW website, what is the difference between a Genestealer Brood and a Purestrain Genestealer box

This is why having the index is vital. Info is nothing without context:

 

1) A genestealer is armed with rending claws. One pair.

2) Any model may also have a pair of scything talons.

3) If you upgrade a model to have talons, it has one pair of talons and one pair of claws. You have to choose which to use each fight phase.

 

A unit of 9 stealers have 3 attacks each. A unit of 10 has 4 attacks each.

I cant answer the question about scything talons
however the genestealer brood and the purestrain genestealer box are exactly the same.

 

purestrain genestealers are just what normal genestaeler are called in the genestealer cult army
