Will it help us? Personally I like the new relic, strategium and some points changes but I´m suprise that some units (looking at you Metamorphs) did not get any boost and will be contuies not to be used by anyone. :/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
spafe Posted December 7, 2017 Share Posted December 7, 2017 I can't see using the return to the shadows that often, although might be a great way to save a character whoes injured... otherwise I think I would tend to favour keeping the survivors shooting (this coming from a guard army logic). Might be more useful that I think though as I've not played that many 8th games. The new relic is jsut a slight boost to the first iconoclast you take right? it doesnt compete with anohter slot and doesnt cost anything... Toomanyprojects Posted December 7, 2017 Share Posted December 7, 2017 (edited) My regular opponent was drooling over the Chapter approved changes - the relic, warlord traits and strategems are rather nice (if a tad situational) but everything is now sooo much cheaper than the index. I epxect that my deathwatch will be harder pressed next time we battle... Runefyre Posted December 7, 2017 Share Posted December 7, 2017 (edited) When our codex comes out the relic will cost a CP, but those are easy to come by in a GSC army (I've had 15 @2000 points). Our strategems are very good imo, they provide some really great flexibility. Return to the Shadows is great for nabbing objectives, and leave if you really need a unit to survive. The points decrease for rock saw is nice. Aberrents are cheaper now as well. I still think seismic cannons are underpowered at long range. Everyone else just use there warlord or almost any character. But for us, it´s only the icon bearer, I like him and is planing to buy him, has not yet done that.
