Hello brothers,

I need your advice for my army. I already started with my army 8 months ago, and also played some games, but still not sure what's a good set up for my army.

At this moment I got

Chaplain

Chapter master

5x deathwatch kill team veterans (5 man)

5 terminators (3x assault cannon, 3x chainfist, 2x stormshield and 2 thunderhammers)

2x corvus blackstars

2 assasins (eversor and Culexus)

I'm planning to buy some more units, but not sure what to buy. transports, and if so what transport (Thinking of an LRC), or some more kill teams?

Can you help me on the good way (like we say in the Netherlands).

What would you transport in it, though? From what you have now, a razorback with 2x lascannon or two could give you some much needed AT capability. Alternatively, you could boost number of models/durability adding some primaris units, like Inceptors or Hellblasters as these both provide things normal DW units struggle with. Who are you going to play against the most, anyway?

While some revile them, Dreadnoughts/Ven Dreadnoughts can act as reasonably priced mobile firebases, assuming you go TL LC/ML or RifleDread builds.  Cheap access to the Watch Master can hand out the re-rolls, too, if that's something you think is important.  They're also cheap to attain through a lot of retailers because the Internet thinks they're bad  :D

You have a good range of miniatures already. Some don't follow my line of thought here but I would do the following.

Pick up 2 Primaris Apothecaries and enough kill team boxes to make you have an even number of vets.

Arm the the majority of the vets with bolter&chainsword. (SIA is amazing and you're paying a lot for it. Use it.)

I would build 2-4 vets with Frag Cannons so you can test them out when desired

I would build 2-4 vets with Infernus Heavy Bolters for the same reason listed above

This will give you a solid base to work with. If I can get anything here to stick it would be this. Do not underestimate bolter fire. It is powerful and SIA makes it all the more powerful.

Not better but different.  PS are 4 points but give you serious punching power vs. TEQ and can even score the odd wound on T7/3+ armour/monsters/etc.  AP -3 is pretty huge in the current meta.  The chainsword is better when you just need to slog through hordes of squishies, like Conscripts, Gaunts, or Orks, and since it doesn't cost anything it keeps your Kill Team taxes down.

Frankly you would get way more out of Stalker Pattern Bolters than the Infernus. I would rather have 5 Stalkers for the price of 1 IHB. The fact that it has opposite profiles with no synergy at no discount cost of the 2 items separately AND does not benefit from Special Ammo would make me rather have  2 models with Stalker Pattern Bolters (46 pts) for the cost of 1 model with IHB (44 Pts). If the IHB was Assault like the Frag Cannon and not Heavy, this would be an entirely different story.
