I told them a few things in the main:

1) Not sold on the setting change.
2) If regular marines fully go away, then I'm done.
3) Update ancient models before pumping out more new factions. Low sales are often reflective of neglecting the models/rules rather than unpopularity.
4) On a related note there needs to be ongoing support for the specialist games being brought back

Also used a couple of free text boxes to point out that there are other things like Malifaux that compete for my hobby money and that I don't interact with their social media platforms (get all my news from forums) and forcing me to select one on one of the questions will give them a false impression.

It wasn't all critique, I made sure to say that for the most part I think they're doing a good job, especially over the last 18 months.

The cynic in my suspects that any negativity will see them refer to the thing about how much we spend on them annually and unless it's one of the higher amounts it'll be immediately disregarded. Assuming they don't immediately disregard anything from outside those spend brackets anyway.

Ahh... the days when a Monolith was scary.

And  necron had a 90% + lose rate, because of phase out[and monolith not counting as a model against it]. good times.

I hope this become really community wide, even its main goal is doing market study for free[well almost free, there is that prize]. I only worry about the stuff we had to write down, and if it is really going to be read by a human. It would be awesome if it was. On flip side I remember how my dad worked on tests for mid and junior military schools candidates, and while the tests were nation wide, most of the stuff was just dumped. They were only interested in 2 age focused groups and anyone who did not fit a criteria based around 5 core question just was not processed[of course the scale was different they still ended up with like 1500 applications to go through]. It would really suck, if lets say , not making  buy weekly and being in age group X [no idea what is the focus for GW right now, way back in the past it was people around 14-24], would automaticlly drop the anwser in to "don't have to read" bin. That is why I hope the survery is going to be really huge, and that no one has funny ideas about messing with it

I asked for the stores to allow forgeworld units to be used, and to allow third party pieces to be used in store. I also told them their conversion kits were crap and the fact that I so many third party companies make parts for GW kits was one of the best things about the hobby.

Why do you want to see HH dead that much? huh.png

doing something you like gives some pleasure, taking something from others gives a lot more. Taking away something from people that they love and you dislike is heaven. Plus the closer people are to each other in what they do the higher the hate, if they find something different. I imagine your view w40k player on how many mortar units should be allowed in a WWII game is something around "I don't care"/"As many as it doesn't break the game", while your views on no FW ever is a lot stronger. There for someone who does not like HH, and who may see HH as stealing model slots and design time from  the DT, is going to react a lot stronger to someone who wants HH to do better. If he did not react like that, it would mean he does not not care much about the w40k.

I asked for an option that would allow you to vote for a kit to be updated to plastic, I used the sister of battle cost wall as an example of an army that would be a lot more popular if it wasn't so expensive. Mentioned plastic sisters of battle, and plastic aspect warriors as well.

I also mentioned that a lot of the value of their product is that I can use minis for years. So releases like deathwatch that are very recent and rule wise went from awkward to bad are pretty harmful for their brand. Granted I was pretty honest about how much I buy so they know they have their hooks in me good.

People, ask for plastic Blood Raven upgrade sprue (like the 7 or 8 GW currently sells). If that does well (and I don't see why it wouldn't, BR are quite popular) they might do sprues for all the other niche Chapters yes.gif

BFG was a big focus of mine, as well as Horus Heresy staying in 7th ed.

I made special note of the fact my local store banned the use of Forgeworld models which has caused me to no longer participate in the hobby as much as I would like.

Another thing I've mentioned at some point is FW products availability through GW stores, even if I know it is probably not that viable.

For the love of the Emperor, the Chaos pantheon, the Eldar pantheon, Gork and Mork, the Greater Good, the Hive Mind, the C’Tan and anything else holy, PLEASE NOBODY ELSE REQUEST THIS.

Why? Because you’ll straight up kill any Australian’s or Kiwi’s hope of ever getting anything from Forge World, ever. Since it’s only available from FW direct, we get to buy it in £ rather than our local currencies. It’s the only reason those of us down under can afford to buy FW at all. The exchange rate markup GW imposes on us is obscene, and isn’t going to change.

For example, the £95 Burning of Prospero? It costs the AUD equivalent of £160. Another example? If you want to buy squads of Mk III/Mk IV marines, it is actually _cheaper_ to buy them from FW with Legion-specific upgrades than it is to buy a just the box of guys in an Australian store! When the AUD was a little stronger, it used to be cheaper to buy a Deimos Rhino than a GW one too!

Please, think of the little guys!

My bad, did not think about that. If I might say, I was not advocating for just merging the GW and FW websites, but rather to have the option to order FW items from a GW store to reduce or avoid altogether the shipment costs, or for GW stores to have a (small) selection of FW products such as shoulder pads and other upgrade parts and popular vehicles. So if people wanted to buy straight from FW, it would still be an option.

Anyways, my apologies for you Aussies and Kiwis, and I hope the suggestion other frater have made about your prices goes through and you get affordable minis!

I did my part and begged for 40k rules for the 30k Custodes line.

Whereas I did the opposite and asked they revert back to an older ruleset for both 40K and Age of Sigmar and suggested better play testing.

Luckily for you, Horus Heresy is still in 7th and all of the 7th edition codexes still exist.

Unlucky for me, no one here plays HH, my army (Sisters) doesn't exist in HH, and no one here still plays 7th or will play me in any edition but 8th.

I mentioned sisters of battle in every single written part. I specifically mentioned that paying 110$ for one squad without any customization options was one fo the worst parts of the hobby. I love kitbashing and customization (Ive spent days on my repressor conversions) and I hate that I can't make my troops ubiwue without physically chopping my models to bits.

I never said it was perfect I just miss the days when you could put a big centrepiece model on the table and know that the opponent would have to really pay attention to it. Now it seems that even if you put down a super heavy it can be killed in a couple of turns no problem.

And didn’t Necrons get an update late 5th that removed the phase out rule?

On the last question, ‘Is there anything else you want us to know?’

I answered... ‘I am Alpharius’

It seemed like a good idea rather than a wish list.

I begged for rules for all hh units for 8th (read custodes). It's nuts they are shrinking a team that seems to make them so much money but maybe I overestimated 30ks popularity. It sure died out fast enough with the advent of 8th where I am locally.

Also begged for fw to get their act together to FAQ and erreta the Inferno book. If they arent going to support 8th at least fix their stuff.

Mentioned how happy I was they were giving 40k custodes an hq that it feels like they are really listening so I would reward then with buying him lol.

I also mentioned the B&C, with any luck GW will take notice of this website and publicly acknowledge us as they have begun to do so with other aspects of the community.
