Hurricane bolter/flamestorm cannon combi-weapon?

I thought of modifying the Land Raider Crusader/Redeemer model by mounting the inboard half of a hurricane bolter to a flamestorm cannon, allowing the sponson to engage targets beyond a flamestorm cannon's range. The result will increase a Land Raider Redeemer's points value by 4, and may decrease its Transport Capacity to 10. The weapon- tentatively named "combi-flamestorm"- will have the following rules:

When attacking with this weapon, choose one or both of the profiles below. If you choose both, subtract 1 from all hit rolls for this weapon.

Range 8", Heavy D6, S 6, AP -2, D 0. This weapon automatically hits its target.

Range 24", Rapid Fire 3, S 4, AP 0, D 1.

This weapon may also be mounted on vehicles that are Land Raider-sized and larger, e.g., the Knight Conquistador and Fireblade super-heavy tank.

Thoughts on its practicality, both from a modeling POV, and a gaming POV?

why not change the huracan bolters by "huracan combi-bolters" (half dakka, more pupa")

{ 3 bolters + 3 (flamers / melta / plasma) } x2

Vehicle weapon: { you dont have to substract one because its a vehicle mounted weapon (no inestability by firering 2 weapons at the same time) }

Overheat Chain-reaction: { this configuration its not without child-dissease, if you fire both weapons of the combi and hit roll a 1 the vehicle suffers an automatic wound if not save it substract combi-bolter as it has explode and cook the ammunition of both weapons }

it didnt change the transport capacity as all the ammunition is in the sponsors

I want to minimize the amount of kitbashing I have to do to make the weapon. In the combi-flamestorm's case, the necessary parts are included in the Land Raider Crusader/Redeemer kit, meaning I won't have to buy more weapons.

These ideas are worth considering. Anyone have second opinions?
