Anyone here ever used their tanks/suits in a renegades army before?  I am getting the heavy walker tank for super cheap, so looking for inspiration.  Link since I cannot upload a picture while at work

Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions are welcome

Since I play Dust...

First, the model you linked to...

The infantry models are usually soft, rubbery plastic. Vehicles are standard model plastic. Unless you opt for Premium (which are pre-painted), they come primered (color based on faction). Scale is 1:48, so a bit larger than 40K, but not so much that they won't work well (I see loads of Dust batreps using 40K terrain and looking good).

The models are pre-assembled with super glue, but have loads of hidden details under some of the panels. I'd recommend putting it in the freezer for a while then pressing here and there to see what can be removed. A couple of the Axis heavy walkers, for example, have panels that hide detailed ammo bins.

Miniature Market is the way to go if you're moving Dust models into another game. They keep resupplying with stuff from the FFG era of the game and pricing them significantly less than the current Dust Studios versions (the model you linked to would go for $55 in the current version). Especially between now and Tuesday 1/9/18, as they have a 20% off Dust promo code.

Look for the models that have two names listed on the box. Those include the weapon load outs for both models listed, and the weapons tend to use the same mounting point - leave it unglued, and you can swap out for what you want. Ex.: The model you linked to has two separate turrets.

The 1947 aesthetic will probably work good for Chaos - scavenged archaic weapons, but still with a sci-fi feel. For good Chaos looking infantry models in Dust, look at the two Axis Ubertoten squads - basically, German zombies with exposed wounds and ripped clothing. Also the various SSU (Soviet) infantry - they tend to have a 'padded clothing' look, even when they have armor showing.

(Oh, and if you ever decide to give Dust 1947 a look, the FFG era models have current stat cards available.)

PM me if you need more Dust info.
