The link doesn't seem to work.

If my posts appear rude to you, I apologize. It's not meant to be rude in any way, it's just the way folks are in my country. It's really more about being direct than being rude. I know how it's perceived in the english speaking community and I already try to tone it down but I barely notice when it's too much since it's normal for me.

So yeah, I'm really not rude it's basically just cultural differences that act against me here. Again, I apologize.

The 40k Codex release order lines up with the other rumours I've heard so far at least.

It all looks plausible. Nothing there seems out of place by previous years standards (with the consideration of 8th ed releases), in fact most of what is on there has been shown as "near future" by official posts.

Maybe May is time for Titanicus with the Boxed Game...!

Intrigued what the Campaign might be... After that list is done haven't all faction been covered with Codexes?

So it's either something new (unlikely considering a campaign box doesn't really scream new army) or a couple units for older ones... Probably something like Death Masque, Blightwar etc

My guess would probably be Primaris v. Orks, because throne forbid a box set be without Space Marines.

Is it only Codex: Knights that's missing from this list? That makes me doubt its veracity somewhat, because Codex: Knights seems like a quick and easy release for GW, so that should definitely be out in the next six months.

Interesting.

GSC are an easy codex, what more could they really get in terms of kits?

Sisters obviously need a re-do and Inquisition are... A weird bunch. I honestly have no idea how Inquisition would work with a new codex. The current model line just isn't fit for it in my opinion, too much fractured about.

February, yeah fine. We've seen pretty much all that stuff already, we know it's coming sooner rather than later. The rest? Just a case of throwing darts. We know the factions will get Codexes, we know there aren't that many left to go and we know GW is aiming for 10 inside 6 months. Guessing which order the remaining Codexes will come out in isn't really newsworthy, IMO.

What really makes this looks like a guess, rather than any sort of insider knowledge is the notable lack of actual models mentioned in March and April; we know from 8th edition experience that most existing factions with large plastic ranges are not getting new models alongside their codexes. I'd say Tau, Necrons and Dark Eldar all qualify for that kind of no-model release, and while it's possible that Harlequins could get a Custodes-type expansion, I'd say it's pretty unlikely.

So where are the model sales coming from in March and April? There is no way at all 2 months will pass without significant model releases, and a Blood Bowl team does not qualify as "significant".

Is it only Codex: Knights that's missing from this list? That makes me doubt its veracity somewhat, because Codex: Knights seems like a quick and easy release for GW, so that should definitely be out in the next six months.

Do we even know for sure that there will be a Knights Codex? They are already included in the AdMech book, after all.

I'd still love a boxed game with some plastic MKII, but somehow I don't see that happening. I think all boxed game production has gone over to the specialist games (FW) team now.

That list looks fairly plausible though.

Also the T'au Codex is rumoured to come in march since october or so. Maybe not just throwing darts but actual knowledge. In any case nothing we could confirm until the time is due tho.

We know that the Knights in the AdMech Codex are only for the ones from Forgeworld and that there are plenty Knights that don't belong to any Forgeworld so yeah I'd expect to see them in another Codex as well.

Where's the march balance release?

I guess it will be a book to purchase and not free updates.

We all feel different ways about different rules, but if you're traveling between different gaming groups or to tournaments, the only commonality is the rules as they are written. If you can get your opponent to agree with you on house-ruling something then that changes things, but until then all we can do is go by how things are written.

GSC could use another Fast Attack or two since all they have right now is the Sentinel. I'd personally like to see something akin to the Hades Breaching Drill to keep the mining/ambush theme going. Aberrants will probably get a standalone release now Overkill looks to be going OOP. Considering they're by far the least popular army in the game I wouldn't expect much though.

Inquisition are a shoein for an Assassin-esq clamp pack release imo, although I'd prefer to see something akin to the Exalted Sorcerers box for option diversity. I won't hold my breath though.

I'm curious about what's going to happen with Imperial Knights. I could see them being folded into Codex: Imperial Agents. The question is what's going to happen with the Renegade Knights since they didn't appear in the CSM book and I don't see them keeping Chaos players using the Index just for that?

Aye, Knight need Household rules, relics, stratagems, warlord traits etc

They could do what they last time with a codex and add another sprue to the kit to ensure some more options (couple carapace weapons, a new melee, a new main shooting and you're golden!)

....Maybe some ground troops but probably not ;)

Keep in mind that nobody claimed the list is complete. I wouldn't expect a complete 100% list getting leaked just like that lol

I wonder if this rumour originates from the same source as mentioned here, or if this is someone else.

https://astropate.bl...mar-uscite.html

Because the releases mentioned on Astropate are listed as:

First half of February : Adeptus Custodes.

Second half of February : Thousand Sons.

First half of March : T'au Empire.

Second half of March : Necron.

So this rumour from Dakka Dakka adds more information, such as what is due in June , the mention of a new boxed game ( Titanicus please) and Necromunda gang and book in February.

Maybe, or both just have similar informations at hand. As said before the February stuff is barely worth calling a rumour and the T'au Codex release at march is being rumoured since like october or so.

I don't buy these rumors. Mainly because Deathwatch is missing. There will almost certainly be a Deathwatch release before June. The early stuff, through DEldar, sounds about right. I think everything after that is a guess.

As for GSC, they will probably be getting a new codex before June as well. They aren't the most popular army but they are a full, plastic army. I think the main fix they need is that Cult Ambush needs to be an optional upgrade. Paying a premium for cult ambush makes playing mechanized GSC is horrible. Fix that one problem and sales will certainly improve.

What does this mean; bigger/badder orks, comparable to the size difference between Fantasy Orcs and AoS Ironjawz? I could see that happening for sure. Not necessarily with the Codex, but at some point.

Lol Orks are in the wrong place according to a my local GW manager who I have known for nearly 20 years. He was given some hint about the release month during a manager meet at GW HQ while playing games with his Ork army and was told March.
