Tonight's 2K match up

So I'm not confident, as most of my opponents in this group are brutally competent with their armies. My hope is to draw a noob. (I'm kidding.... :) )

 

This is probably slightly off 2K, could be a tad higher, or lower, I dunno.

 

Ahriman (Warlord- want to see if 3++ comes into effect)

ES on Disk (Helm of stealing CPs)

Termie Sorc w/familiar +Force Axe

 

10 Rubes 4 flamers (deepsrtike?)

10 Scarabs 2 Hellfyre launchers

 

Tzaangor Shaman (probably flickering flames for the Defilers?)

 

20 dual blade Tzaangors

10 pistol/sword Tzaangors

 

Defiler x 2 (cannon, Havok, Reaper Cannon)

Mutalith

 

Does anyone know the rumoured -AP/Damage on the Mutalith's 4 attacks?

 

 

The idea is the Termie Sorc MAY just use Warptime on Termies/Rubes or Prescience.

 

The Defilers flank the Mutalith and fire up the middle with the Mutalith giving buffs. This will probably help me decide if I want to get one, or it's something you need 2 of.

 

The Shaman is flying up with Ahriman, and ES right behind the advancing Tzaangors.

 

Ahriman's powers will be offensive.MAYBE the heal, but certainly the other two will be offensive. ES will probably have Glamour, and I don't know what.

 

I think the squad Sorcs may just have Boon to tool up the Termie Sorc with buffs.

 

I have no idea who I play, it's a random match up. I REALLY wanted to use my WIP Landraider but it causes me to take a lot out of this list, and I lose my extra CP (heavy) detachment. What do you think? Any good/bad ideas going on here?

Does anyone know the rumoured -AP/Damage on the Mutalith's 4 attacks?

 

Got my Codex since Tuesday. ;) They are S7 AP-2 D2. Or if you attack with the tentacles you make 12 attacks (at full health) S7 AP-1 D1. MVB costs 150 points on the nose.

Cool, want to hear how SOT unit does...along with the MVB you got some hard hitting versatility.

 

Are you splitting weapon loadouts on the Tzangoors due to WYSIWYG or for a Hordes or power armor option? Both maybe?.. i love how the pistols and chain swords look though often take blades.

 

Dont rule out glamour for your SOTs or Rubrics. I always look forward to your reports Prot.

Well... on the Tzaangors I wanted variety. Sometimes I like to keep 10 on a hard me objective and the pistol variant can be a better alternative just st for 12” engagement, now with Shaman it might get a little better on +1 to hit.

 

I really like how the look too. Glamour is a good call
