patchestheclown Posted March 1, 2018 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Great news ork players! The results from the Grand Tournament Heat 3 are in and orks took 2nd and 3rd?!?!?!!! To say I'm shocked would be an understatement. The fact that an index army did so well, much less orks is pretty awesome! Would love to hear your thoughts about why it went so well for orks and if you can get your hands on any of the army lists I'd love to see it! From what I can gather the 2nd place army had something like 120 boyz, 2 meks (with KFF?), 2 painboys, 2 weirdboyz, 6 mek guns with KMK, and 2 trukks full of 10 tankbustas. what a time to be an ORK!!! Kaldoth Posted March 7, 2018 Share Posted March 7, 2018 The reason why they did so well is because the massed boyz list is so far outside of the Meta that nobody can reasonably plan for it IMO. When your index is full of overcosted, under-performing units, capitalizing on the few good units we have is all you can really do.
