I’ve based it around what I have currently and what I want to paint. I’m not sure how to divide it up into detachments as I don’t have my rule book with me! Here goes: Commander with Iridium armour and 4 missile pods Darkstrider Cadre Fireblade with marker light Longstrike in railhead with sms and 2 seeker missiles 10 pathfinders with a grav inhibitor drone and pulse accelerater drone 2 squads of 10 Kroot 4 teams of 10 Fire Warriors 3 Crisis Suits with Fusion Blasters and a drone controller 12 Drones (4 shield 8 gun) Hammerhead with railgun, sms and 2 seeker missiles Stormsurge with cluster rockets, 4 destroyer missiles, 2 burst cannons, pulse driver cannon, 2 sms, shield generator and early warning override I think I can get this 2000pt list bought and painted by the end of the summer! Also i plan on putting a unit of pathfinders on the flank of some fire warriors so both units benefit from the Grav drone and pulse drone ...well that's my plan you painting stuff for the ETL?, i'm going to...it was a close decision between T'AU or Necrons !! I needed to get a cheap source of marker lights hence no ion/rail rifles on the Pathfinders they’ll be split into 2 units of 5, the drones will support the Firewarriors! I’m going to form the army into 2 battalion detachments especially now they put out 5 CP’s each! Would give me 13 CP’s all in! Factor in the Puretide Engram Neurochip and should be laughing. Yep, I’m well up for the ETL! Not sure what I’ll have to enter yet, won’t be lots of points (I’m ordering stuff from GW next so probably Kroot and Darkstrider) I think you made the right choice to support the Tau’va!! The Pounder Posted May 7, 2018 Author Share Posted May 7, 2018 Bit of both really! I think he looks cool and I kinda have a plan for him. The main tactical reason is to keep him alive, therefore I wanted him to be able to dish out the damage at range! He will be my Warlord and have the Puretide Engram Neurochip, so the longer he survives the more opportunities I have to gain extra Command Points! Also my main opponents are Orks, Guard and Tyranids, so the strength 7 and multiple wounds will come in handy with all those light vehicles and Monsters. He will lead the Bork’an half of my force (the other half will be T’au sept) so I’ll take either the Bork’an Warlord trait or Through Unity, Devastation. Will have to play test both and see how much mileage I get out of each! That’s pretty much it. The first team of Kroot are built and under coated! Can’t wait to get started!
