How do you model your coldstar?

i'm going to build the Coldstar Commander with HoBC and 2x BC & ATS...

 

how have other people done it?  shoulder mounted cannons?, third party dual cannon or conversions?...

what are my options here

I think I'd go with BCs on each arm and the big one on the shoulder.
However I'd have to buy a new Commander for that since my current Coldstar has the MP and a shield gen glued onto it with a very specific pose. ^^

Another thing I'm going to do is building a Coldstar with Fusion Blades, Shield Gen and HO-BC eventually and I guess he'll look similar to my current Coldstar but with the HO-BC on the shoulder.

I've always loved the shoulder mounted guns (I was sad when the broadside had the guns moved to the arms) so I'll probably put as much firepower there as possible. Speaking of which, thanks for reminding me, I meant to get a Coldstar commander for my Tau force.

i was just browsing GW online and thought has anyone used the Broadside with it's handheld RR and converted it to look like a mega HoBC?, and just added some form of jump pack to it to make a beefy looking Coldstar ...

I've converted a Broadside into a Commander, but haven't got an idea how you'd model a super HOBC from the HRR.

 

I was thinking of giving my Coldstar two Fusion Blasters, Shield and Target Lock. Maybe even Fusion Blades cos I'm an absolute madman and might try FSE tactics sometime.

 

My current one is built in the generic setup though. Thinking HOBC, two Missile Pods and an ATS. Just attach another shoulder mounted Missile Pod at some point to keep it fairly WYSIWYG.

I'll post my updated northstar later today.

 

I merged the Cyclic ion blaster from a ghost keel and a broadside rail gun.

 

compact but looks great

Personally I'm just using the kit as is, though I'm modding the burst cannon and later the relic plasma rifle to be held like rifles. I also want to mod the feet on my next one, make it look more like a battloid if possible.

i was thinking of putting 2 x of the mini burst cannons from the recon drone's on the Coldstars shoulders and trying to hand hold the HOBC, like Triszin's Northstar   

the HOBC can be easily converted for hand holding right?..
