Turning my HH RG to 40k

Dear friends, since I'm waiting for my GK FAQ, but without too hope, I was thinking about using my HH RG into some match, even with my GK.

I started reading SM codex but I'd like to have some advices from you.

How I should impost my 40k RG? I'm full of tactical, and I have 5 scouts, 10 dark furies (that I think I can use as vanguard veterans with pair of lighting claws) 10 more deythan (sternguards? are they useful?) 5 recon (yes more PA) 3 thud guns, 6 bikers, captain on bike, apothecary on bike and techmarine on bike. Moreover I have two contemptors, 5 catatermy and some heroes (chaplain, Captain w JP, Captain on catatermy...).

What do you suggest? I was wondering about a battalion with Shrike, 10 vanguards, 3x5 tactical or 2x5 tactical and 5 scouts), 3 rapier thud gun along my 25 PAGK and 2 GMDK for an amazing alpha strike and 9 CP.

Pics? Please say you have pics :smile.: Would love to see your Dark Furies and Deythan. So wish we had those as Scouts (or Reivers) in 40k :sad.:

Yes, I have.

The bases represent the terrain outside Ravendelve, during the fight against AL and Dark Mech.

These are some of them. I'm not happy about veterans and I have to paint again my furies because the airbrush spitted and they are like digital urban camo. I don't like. As soon as I have them painted again I will post them here.

Here below, instead, you can find a modified Chaplain

Yaaas!

It would seem to me, that A LOT of your collection can convert to 40K easily (DF = VV, Mor Deythan = Sternguard, etc.), especially if FW is allowed in your setting (Rapiers).

Man, go for it :tu:

I'd run the Mor Deythen as Company Vets instead. If you can get ahold of some plasma guns they can equip them.

Thud guns will make nice Thunderfire cannons.

A lot of people use Dark Furies for Vanguard.

Contemptors are tough as nails if you use the Relic version of them.

Holy Raven Wings. Those bikes looks awesome ... and the More Mors are really sweet models. I agree with our Brothers. I see a lot of easy adaptation in what you have for 40k :D

Thank you all mate. How do bikers work in 40k now? I faced only a CM on bike (with shield. it was a pain in the ass) but no bikers.

I already have my answer? Because I really love the outriders and probably they are my best painting models.

Dude, Outriders could easily be 40K bikes. But you'd have to tell the opponent, "See these axes? Yeah, ignore those."

Negative, Ghost Rider.

Company Vets. On bikes.

Power axes are a valid option for them.

Also, I spy some pieces painted with Vallejo Gunmetal Blue.

It's a distinctive shade.

I'm sorry, where is the bike option for Company Vets?

It's found in the Index, but not the Codex.

GW decreed that any units found in the Index are still legal to use, even if they didn't make it into the Codex.

They released the Indexes at the start of 8th edition so people could start playing it immediately instead of having to wait for their Codex. The Index includes just about everything that was an option for at least the last few editions. The stuff in it is still legal so models equipped with things that are no longer an option weren't invalidated.
