Alternative Incubi

Would it kinda fit? Yeah I suppose, but those guys really don't fit for incubi. Incubi are supposed to be the one dark eldar unit that's fully armored in a full suit of power level quality armor, while those guys are armored only from the waist down. I like the deepkin models but I wouldn't use those guys as incubi.

I do also really want incubi but hate finecast. May just settle for mandrakes since with less intricate details on those models, no really fine armor details I think I can handle them being finecast.

Namarti Thralls are going to be a great kit for conversions. I plan on using the Namarti as Wracks with some conversion work. I can see them working as Incubi as well. Some people have said they will use them for mandrakes as well. A lot of the Deepkin range may be usable for us for conversions.

I have seen people converting Incubi using the Executioners kit from AoS. My friend did a kitbash of Wyches and Executioners and the Incubi turned out really dynamic.

I see the Namarti Thralls, especially with their forehead runes, as good Mandrake Substitutes. Executioners are indeed very static. Shame. Maybe the Idoneth will have other options open up to us like the Daughters of Khaine do.

I don't mind static for the Executioners, for me the issue is more that they just don't share any imagery with the Drukhari range which will make them stand out like a sore thumb. Using the two-handers on Kabalie Warrior bodies would soften the blow.

Agree on the Thralls as Mandrakes though, because although they too share the issue of lacking any connection to the wider range, that's also true fr the "official" Mandrake models, so is less jarring.

I love the Incubi models too much to proxy them, but I'd agree finding alternatives is important since we don't want to support Finecost.  It's the same reason I don't have any Mandrakes at the moment, to my chagrin :(

There are the Sisters of Silence models, that could look good with alternate heads/swords used. I do agree the Namarti are a little under-armoured to look convincing as Incubi. Mandrakes I could definitely see, even the female ones, as we don't really have anything indicating that the Mandrakes are male-only, just a lack of female models.

I'm thinking I'll get some thralls for mandrakes like mentioned above. I think if we painted them with dark skin and added green runes they would look pretty similar to the mandrakes.

I know, I've already given my Haemonculus the arms holding the heart and hunting-drake, and the champion mask-head. Nothing but the best for the Coven of the Dragon Ascendant.

I'm considering getting the Cauldron of Khaine to have my second Haemonculus as the Medusae, being carried around in the cauldron, just painting the figure that holds it up as a flesh-crafted being rather than a statue.

I think these have the potential to make a few units. Definitely great incubi. Or mandrakes with some work. Or wracks. Orrrr amazing melevolent band models for corsairs with no conversions (if they ever become relevant again).
