Crazy idea - Rapid Response team

Mulling things over I've become enamoured with trying to combine my Dawneagle bike with Interceptors, for their movement.

 

The bikes are 14" and Interceptors 12". But thru can also shunt.

 

Going first. Bikes move into RF range. Interceptors shunt to both get infront and get into RF range.

 

Going second. If enemy advances or DS, should have range for second turn without shunting.

 

Crazy plan? What else to support them? Armigers still feel too expensive.

 

Time to brainstorm!

Maybe add some Strike Squads? Since you already have a bunch of units on the board with Interceptors and bikes you can put them into reserves and just Teleport Strike them to your Interceptors as well.

Of course that'd be just more S4 shooting and you'd still be lacking anti tank so I guess the default Storm Raven and GMND would be a good idea to include as well.

Love interceptors. Love fast.

 

If your interceptors start in reserve, they can DS then later make a free shunt during the game for a big reposition to grab objectives or focus on an outlying threat.

 

A charachter with gate can keep up with them to get those rerolls.

 

DS Interceptors with an hq with gate can keep up with supersonic flyers for 2 or 3 turns.

 

A space marine Librarian (want bike or jump pack) can buff any Adeptus Astartes unit. Might of heroes gives a single model +1S +1T +1A and veil of time gives a single unit re-roll charge/advance and always fight first.
