Pandoras Bitz Box Posted April 14, 2018 Author Share Posted April 14, 2018 I wrote a lot about the build on the blog if your interested really interested in it. The psychic hood was two panels of plasticard for the outer bit and the inside was greenstuff with a spherical dent in it where I then sculpted green stuff wires into. The Body is one of the two Grey Knight bodies you can get from Forgeworld, so that's easy enough for you to get hold of. I cant remember what I did when I painted it, I don't think I'm that great a painter! I made greenstuff panels for the shoulders but didn't like how bare one of his legs was and as an experiment I just tried to freehand a panel onto the shin and make it look like a panel. The only washes have... or would have had would have been nuln oil and gryphone sepia... so what ever those are now... Black McDark wash and Agrax Earthshade. I think what I would have done is just paint it gold, then painted the letters on with black, highlighted the edges of the letters with a lighter gold or maybe even silver... I didn't have a wide range of either. then tried the washes on. if you do the paint work then once its dry you can try the washes and if you make a mistake just wipe them off because the surface is flat rather than textured. Sorry my descriptions of the paints are so vague, like I said i'm not a great painter. I've actually been picking the brains of actually good painters on Twitter to help me get some decent paints and brushes that are other brands too. Practice may be the most important part but I don't want to hamstring myself by the limitations of my gear. Edit: Ok yeah, I just had a look too. Nowhere on the website, then I looked for it elsewhere online and one other shop that appeared to be selling them at one point (I guess they bought forgeworld stuff in?) said they discontinued them April 2016, so I don't know if that's when forgeworld stopped producing it. Crazy, I guess I picked the right one. Hopefully the people selling them don't realise they are out of production or they could just slap "RARE" on it and then do them as Buy Now for twice the price.
