NiceGuyAdi Posted April 18, 2018 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Just read an article on the BBC website about a load of historical sites that have been 3D scanned and put online in association with Google: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/technology-43797836/google-s-3d-scans-aim-to-preserve-historical-sites In itself it’s pretty cool, but as I was watching the thought occurred to me this could be an absolute goldmine for 3D printing scenery. Especially as it’s available for free for non-commercial use. I wonder how feasibly these scans might convert to 3D-printable models? Or how cost-effective that might be?
