I think, whether you like the original or not, it is really just so distinctive if you want to make the model your own then it has to be changed. It was something I just had to do when I got it. The original is suitably horrifying, but a little cartoony for my taste, and at least I got a use for the massive glaive out of the Bloodbound box. At the moment I'm focusing on the various cults only until I decide whether or not to go ahead with the stash of CSM bits I have to build up the core of the army, or wait for the new Chaos stuff to arrive.
