_Saracen Posted April 23, 2018 Share Posted April 23, 2018 Hello fellow Sister's players! I finally got my account approved and I thought I would start a work log for my own Sisters of Battle. I just got back into playing 40k with the start of 8th edition and around December I decided to pull the trigger on building a Sister's army using the popular combination of Statuesque Minatures female heads and Esienkern Valkir Heavy Trooper bodies. From that point until now, though, I have had a hard time being motivated to focus on them given the amount of effort it takes to produce a single finished lady. With the announcement of Plastic SoB coming next year, however, I've decided to double down and get as much mileage out of my investment as I can right now! Progress on my 3 Squads of Retributors: Here is the WIP for the 3 sets of specially armed ladies - 8 Heavy Bolters, 4 Multimeltas, 3 Superiors with Stormbolters and Chainswords. Here are the Heavy Bolter Squads finished up to the torsos without their heads (I am painting the weapons and heads seperately, so the big guns are just sitting in the hand/wrist for the picture) Next up is my ETL Pledge #1 Laid out: 9 Dominions - Combi-Flamer, Power Maul, 3x Flamers (the 4th was my test model for the paint scheme with the bad picture in my first post) - 132 pts 10 Dominions - Combi-Melta, Chainsword, 4x Melta - 187 pts 10 Dominions - Combi-Melta, Chainsword, 4x Melta - 187 pts 9 Repentia + Mistress of Repentance - 191 pts Finally are my Semi-finished Cannonesses: The first is armed with a Combi-Melta and a Power Sword which will almost always be the Relic Sword until the codex releases The second is a more-cheaply armed Power Maul and Storm Bolter girl to keep my Retributor's company as they dole out the Emperor's Holy Judgement to my friend's (Tyriks!) new Heretic Astarte's Witches (Also known as Thousand Sons) The Third has an Eviscerator and Combi-Melta what for all of the Order's ripping and tearing and melting and purging needs. I am still trying to decide whether they need more done to them for them to properly stand out. I've seen some good tutorials on cloaks with fur around the shoulders that I may be able to pull off with my meager Greenstuffing skills. What do you all think? _Saracen Posted May 22, 2018 Author Share Posted May 22, 2018 The point of this WIP log is to keep myself motivated, so I figured I'd celebrate some minor progress that I've made since my last post. Most of it is building-oriented, but given that the effort for each model is a lot higher than any other army I play, I feel pretty good about having it done. The only remaining models I have to build to the point where I would start painting them are 10 Melta Retributors, so I am nearly done with building! Here is where I am for my ETL pledge - Hopefully a night or two tonight will bring me to my planned finishing point: Here are my 3 MSU Battle Sister's Squads - 2 Squads of 3 Storm Bolters and 1 Squad of 2 Meltaguns and a Combimelta on the Superior. I finally finished building all of the extra bodies for my 2 Heavy Bolter Retributor Squads, bringing each to Ten Ladies total. Last but not least, here are my two converted Imagifiers to accompany the Retributor Squads: I don't quite know what I will be putting on the Imagifier's standards yet, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, would it be really stupid to put power mauls on all my Sister Superiors? S3 Chainswords are so useless Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
