Awfully quiet here... any progress guys?

Yeah, it's actually mostly done, just haven't had a good chance to get the pictures off my phone to prove it.

Speaking of pictures to prove it:

Time for Round 2

I Mard rise to the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX on the side of the Adepta Sororitas, part of the IFOR group, and vow to complete:

1 Dialogus @15pts
1 Knight Paladin (Stormspear Rocket Pod, Heavy Stubber, Reaper Chainsword) 503pts

of total value of 518pts on or before August 1st, 2018. Success will bring me eternal glory and failure will doom me to wear the Badge of the Oathbreaker until the year-end.

I hope everyone keeps up the pace, great effort so far! I held off making a Vow (I usually love the amount of painting energy the ETL gives me) but I have been hit with a particularly hard bout of de-motivation about my Sisters force by the FAQ Rule of 3. Without access to builds that were allowed to bring more than three of any one unit, I don't need anything painted as I already have more than that of every version of each.

 

So my vow was not to spoil your chances at 100% vow completion. Good luck everyone and keep up the good fight!

Wow! I'm really impressed with the quality of these models. Well done, Mard! These really blow my normal tabletop standard away.

Also, do we only post vows here, even if they are for models in other IFOR factions?

You have a main home for your ETL participation which is where you make all your vows and record their completion - makes life simpler for Semper to have it in one place. However there's nothing stopping you from posting pictures of your alternate faction models to the relevant IFOR outpost as well, it's a great way to show team spirit :thumbsup: I've done so for my Inquisition unit, and will do so here should I get round to adding a Sisters unit later :smile.:

Cheers dude! I'm really quite pleased with how the army is coming along.

I've had a couple of armies through the years but stopped playing 40k some time ago, but could never give up my 2nd ed sisters (Or my RT Dark Angels). ETL is giving me a good push to getting the rest of the things I need for my patrol army painted so I can play 8th ed with a full painted army.

 

ETL is always slightly bad timing wise for me, it's right in the time when my club picks up with our specialist game run. So I'm painting ETL this year around finishing my Mordhiem warband and table and a Warmaster slow grow (Which I took Brets.... and all the individual heraldry....)

 

The Knight is going to be interesting, It'll be the largest 40k model I've ever painted. I'll be pushing on with painting all the structure to start with while I still try and come up with a paint scheme for the armor.

 

Trying to think of something that will compliment my army paint scheme while not continuing with the Black and Red of the Sisters...... Maybe red as the main color instead? Not sure

How's everyone's progress this week?

Currently working on the frame for the Knight, with the rain outside this weekend I may stall on starting the armour.... which isn't a bad thing as I still don't have a solid plan for the paint scheme besides Red

… Cannot see any strokes and an amazing white you got going on there.

Pretty good, but I still see the artifacts of the edge highlighting effort where the red panels abut the other red panels along the rivet lines. Nothing a few more layers of glaze wont fix though.
