More Last Chance to buy misery

and now the banner seems to have disappeared. This is getting a little odd.

Stuff usually goes up at 10am for us Brits, right? It probably just got put up too early and they'll redo it in a half-hour or so.

If Thallax go but Nercromunda Escher Weapon Pack 2 and Bard's Children stay my sides are going to be launched into the stratosphere.

I don't remember seeing Thallax on the banner. There were 2 of the Imperial Knights head upgrades, the Titan Preceps, and a blurb mentioning Knights and Titan accessories including transfers. I can't see them throwing in a random Mechanicum unit when the 'theme' of the LCTB is Knights and Titans.

In all seriousness, I believe we need to stop this  ' .... zomg, last chance to buy 'misery' :censored:'

Please, if everything is so miserable, stop playing and sell your armies and pick up another hobby.

It's non-constructive, whiney, oppressive and creates an atmosphere of gloom where there should be none, really.

There will always be products that'll be LCTB, always. With Forge World, with GW, with any other company out there. Face it, eat it up, get on with it.

There'll be new products, which people will like or not. There'll be new models and concepts. And there will always be room for our own conversions and our creativeness.

EDIT: spelling error

Then we know the ‘these models don’t sell well’ line they’ve been feeding us is horse :censored:. Thallax used to be on their best sellers list all the time.

the warlord titan is on there too so i have no idea how they judge whats a best seller because i cant imaging they are selling as many titans as they are Rhinos. XD.

Is it possible it’s just the bare bones thallax going? And they are keeping the kits that come with the photon thrusters and whatnot

That was my thought as well, but that messes up if you want ferrox thallax.

With all due respect but "LCTB misery" is kind of the only news from FW we get on daily basis (ie. friday). And it's hard to be positive when Heresy range is shrinking month by month (for unknown reasons), of which many products were crucial for some legion projects.

And harder not to talk about it. Not that there are many living threads on AoD forum at the moment. Respect for brothers who keep the flame burning. It's hard to pretend that these are not the tough times for Heresy (deleting products, no new book for a long time, lack of HH team's direction/organization after AB's passing, 8th edition popularity...). SO let people talk they have every right to do it.

I don’t think people are ‘complaining for no reason’

Most of the legion upgrades aren’t for sale anymore. Some were only released months ago.

If you know about heresy, then you know these nuggets are great for vets etc. And if you want a lifted out army you can have that. At the price they were selling I’m sure they made their money’s worth.

Iv neglected to post about it the last few weeks, I literally have no idea what is going on there like many others.

I am looking at blowing my wad of £100s on a new SOH force, but I have no idea what will go next with the trend. Or if things will be available so I am holding off.

With no excuse from FW SOH reavers were ‘no longer available’ for weeks. Speaking to the shop they had no idea and told me they aren’t selling them anymore by the look of the site.

The hand isn’t speaking to the foot and they are ploughing all their rescources into little cash mines of specialist games, which is usually a fad. I haven’t been interested in any of them as many others haven’t really.

Heresy is their bread and butter and for them to seem (to the community) to be spitting In the eye of players/ collectors doesn’t go down well for relations.

I have been involved since book 1, how well run and how much interface the public had was great amazing stuff and laughed in the face of GW attempts, this year (admittedly Alan passed away) has been a shower as I suspect he was as a metaphor the emperor at the gate holding back the ‘management’ and his passing has opened the tear.

Even WHW has fudged off heresy all year for AOS and 40k. As opposed to last year where it was quarterly.

God knows what is happening, the designers are being pushed and pulled all over the place, it has the feel of ‘businessmen’ about it as opposed to someone who gives a hoot. Exactly the reasons I stopped being involved In crazy 40k with all the forced marketing.

FW have always had a ‘take or don’t’ Attitude which usually led to me buying a super heavy lol

If Forge World had spaced out these product removals over the space of a few years - i.e., removed things regularly - then I’d agree. We’d be used to the idea that they remove poor-selling products. Instead, we had come to think that FW was a ‘boutique’ shop that didn’t have to chase sales figures and was a reliable source of obscure minis. Now we know otherwise and it’s been a bit of a shock.

I don’t think they’ve done anything similar since 2013, and that was a little different because they were killing off entire games rather than selected kits from across their ranges.

Another factor is that a lot of us thought the removals were related to the end of GW’s fiscal year, so we’d have a month of LCTB (May) and then it’d stop. It hasn’t stopped.

It’s also been a period of less frequent new releases. Fridays are more exciting for what’s going to be axed than for what’s coming out.

The gloomy attitude is entirely reasonable. I don’t see it lasting quite long enough for a lot of us to drop out of the game, but you can’t make us celebrate it.
