I've been working on this list for a little bit, the captain runs with the Marine blob, as does the normal chap and leuitenant. The termies, chap termi and dread all take the stormraven into the heart of enemy lines to turn 2 delete any big threats. I've ran a version of this with a smaller troop base hidden in rhinos and the troops just didn't do very much, I'm also thinking of a version where I take a barebones Dev squad instead of the pred, take a chapter ancient to avoid morale and boost the troop base with a little post mortem damage with the emperor banner, but that would give away all my non-airborne anti-tank. Thoughts?

You're running a battalion so I don't think you need the aux support penalty for the relic levaithan dreadnought.

The main problem you're going to run into is that you need to spread the threat out. Your foot marines are going to provide support and objective control but very little threat. The opponent will then take out the storm raven turn one most likely. Then focus the predator down.

When list building you should really focus on redundancy. If you are fielding big units this becomes difficult to do. If you want to field the dreadnought I would build the list in a way to support it first. It just looks like you're doing too many things at once here.

Take your crusader squads down to three and increase their number. Honestly, I would just run three max size crusader squads with the Relic Dreadnought and maybe 2 other dreadnoughts with twin lascannon and dread CCW. Stormravens are really good. But taking one loaded with what you're planning is going to be a risky play. If you're opponent takes it out on the first turn than the most punchy units of your army are going to be left out of most of the battle.

Setup the crusader squads with the initiates being ranged and the neophytes being setup for close combat and add in like 1 powerfist or thunder hammer. Lose the initiates first as you move up the board and charge with your neophytes that are geared out for close combat.

The Leviathan is going to soak a TON of fire. Be ready to lose it fast and understand that by doing so it frees up the rest of your army for a turn. If you can run two Levi's that would be ideal but you would need a spearhead detachment for that.

I'm not too familiar with Black Templar list building.. but I hope my suggestions help.
