Aesthetics - Order of Our Martyred Lady

So I decided a few weeks ago that my sisters were just going to be the Order of Our Martyred Lady as that is what is seen the most and if I ever wanted to sell the army I am building then people would be more likely to have it blend into their own forces if it was a more common color scheme. It also helped that the new preview sculpt was of the Order of Our Martyred Lady.

 

Anyway, I was looking at the Canoness Veridyan model and found it somewhat interesting that they included the hazard strips on her bolt pistol. I really like it. It makes the bolt pistol really stick out. Anyone else know of little bits like this that you can paint to have them really jump out at your opponent?

Basically look at any of the artworks from the early 90s and late 80s. Hazard strips and that kind of thong was all the rage.

For sisters? I suggest skin tone, hair color, or gun. A sister with a hair streak (ala rogue) or a bolter with a bit of wear and tear can go a long way

Huge fan of the hair streak on the odd model. On off my cannonesses has it (blue on blond) and both geminae. Adds just a bit of pzazz.
