Hello fellow GSC players (or just user of B&C).

I´m wondering, would a cult fight versus a tyranid swarm if the the tyranid was from a diffrent Hive fleet then where the original genestealer patriarch comes from?

Yes, that was my thought too. and as we now that the 40k universe really like war I think that could be possibly.

Is it not some story when two diffrent hive fleet attacks each other in the new codex?

A Hive Fleet will attack another at times, not out of actual hostility, but rather the Hive Mind doing some "tests" over which biomorphs are more successful. In regards to the Cults fighting back, I could see that occurring too, as I believe there had been mentions of the Patriarch/genestealers turning on the Cult once the Hive arrives, with some members not exactly being willing to be consumed by literal monsters.

Combine that with the 'strength testing' and yeah, you can have a Patriarch fighting against the arriving swarm.

I remember reading that the cults cannot fight back. Because as the hive mind approaches it just completely over powers them and takes over. There could be a struggle before it arrives but once it get there the games up and the GSC are fully controlled by the hive fleets.

In the codex its mention that some fight back and others just accept there fate. It seems that the pure genestealers joins the hivefleet but thats there hivefleet, not another hivefleet I think.

I would think that, even if willing to be consumed by their own, they would fight against feeding an 'alien' hive fleet. Professional jealousy, and all that.

It's been shown differently in different sources. Some older background showed cultists passively walking into the digestion pools, the codex mentions the Neophytes/Acolytes being turned on by the now-Hive-controlled Patriarchs/true-born. Really, it depends on what you want to have in your story. We have evidence of both, so you can have utterly-controlled cultists marching to their doom in the digestion pools, praising the glories of the Void-Emperor as they do so, or you could have cultists that fight back, seeking salvation rather than annihilation from the Hive, and finding only hunger in response.

Depends how Cthulu-esque you want to have your cult, how inhuman it makes them.
