Delta.Skies Posted January 18, 2019 Author Share Posted January 18, 2019 2nd batch of primaris scaled veterans were built today to accompany my watchmaster , these were just as fun to build as the first ones, took a min to figure out my load outs (not a particular fan of the tedious task of magnetizing, and just havent found the full need for it yet). Have one more full squad of deepstriking vets to do, then putting death watch legs on my stalker bolter vets and will eventually either sell off the old marine leg bitz in a bitz bag with all the other smaller marine parts or I might just build some things for fun and sell them off, not sure what will help with my hobby income but we will see. Got a lil bit of cleaning up to do with them, then its off to paint with this bit of time on my hands Sergeant that was reworked on with make shift combi flamer Chainsword // Stormbolter Honored Vet Shield Brother Chainsword // Stormbolter Vet Had To Finish Off The First Squad With This Last Vet Shield Brother #2 Champion (Black Shield) Clan Leaders Personal Squad Squad A Clan Leader (Watchmaster) Squad B Can wait to apply what i learned and practiced with the airbrush. Uploading is a slow process via mobile With that being said, I will include a good bit in here, and will hopefully keep this up. Close to finishing my Death Watch army building wise with some Terms and A Redemptor Chaplain Dreadnought in the works with a few reworks Deep Strike Squad: - Needed a deep strike squad and went through a couple of brainstorming ideas before finalizing the load out and models. Led by my Watch Captain, I wanted them to look more elite than my other troops. The more experienced of my Yaujta Clan I had to show more experience / trophies on these guys and make them look the part. SN: recycled parts were used for my upscaled vets so excuse the discoloring 10 man squad - Vet Sergeant - 2 Chainswords / Stormbolters - 2 Termies w/ Powerswords and Stormbolters - 2 Combi Plasma / Chainswords - 2 Stormbolter and Stormshields and 1 Vanguard Vet with Bolt Pistol and Chainsword Vet Sergeant Vanguard Vet - not fully satisfied with his leg pose, so will work on that soon Terminators Sword Brothers Combi Plasma Vets Shield Brothers Updated Watch Captain Next Post : wanted to split them up so you wouldnt get tired of reading or looking, one unit at a time I guess. This one was special because it was my one year anniversary of being in the hobby. With that being said wanted to up the ante a bit and make him universal. So I magnetized his hands for multiple scenarios. I really enjoyed building this guy, had the option of getting the chaplain model from artel w miniatures or work with a model ive always wanted which was blood angels primaris lieutenant tolemon for my birthday. probably 80% of the model still just due to the dynamic pose he already possessed. Thousand Sons sorcerer collar and custodes parts were used + deathwatch and a dash of reiver and the cape from the relictor from thunder and blood box. Completely forgot that you cant use the mc bolter combo with shield which prompted the magnets when i first thought about the load out. j Watch Captain In Terminator Armor Thought of using terminators since the bolter drill rule, for deathwatch seemed like an ok move, at least 20 shots, but running a vanguard left me with lil options. So decided to pull and oldie out the grave, and finish him up. Earlier in this thread i built one prior to with powerfist melta and combi, but needed something cheaper and reliable. So i decided to finish the old model with a different loadout. Relic Blade and Stormbolter with Bane Bolts felt like a decent loadout and wanted to portray this captain to be a highly decorated warrior within the clan with his custom weapon and armor. Since i started off with Deathwatch it only felt right to build a Watchmaster to give away. Backstory he is the first Clan Leader of the Yaujta between him and the first Chaplain they laid down the laws of the hunt for their clan. I thoroughly enjoyed creating him for the giveaway, positive reception of him and makes me want to do another giveaway at 1k. Hope you like, and hope the winner does the guy justice.
