The Wrath Deamonkin & world eaters

Recommended Posts

Hey.

I've been thinking about converting my world eaterss WIP army to the Wrath Deamonkin army.

Do you guys think that, it would be okay to say that, a Wrath warband is made up of old world eaters that have gone entirely unhinged.

I still want to use world eater shoulders pads I got from forge world. . But I also want to use the Wrath symbols and squad markings.

Thoughts?

I know for sure that I won't be using the full Wrath paint scheme. Which is, Bone helmets black torsors and red arms legs and shoulder pads. With bone weapons.

Instead, I was thinking bone helmets on squad leaders with, warpaint on some helms in the shape of skulls. Bone weapons and wrath squad markings.

I also plan to include white blood letters, covered in blood war paint like the barbarian below.  Lastly a  white blood thirster with red armor to tie it all together.

We're still playing 7th edition so Khorne Deamonkin 7th edition.

Here's some back story for the wrath. Kind Of why I like the lore. Basically the most METAL of the Khorne worshippers. I thought perhaps instead of black torso. I could do something similar to the howling griffans on a few models,. Bone helmets on a few,. And skull war paint on other helmets. Anyways here's some Lore. The Wrath are little more than ferocious Power Armoured beasts, that bring butchery in the battlefield to an unimaginable scale, by completely eradicating the bodies of their foes. The source of this monstrous savagery is the Warband's worship of the Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage Arbra'Gax, and his horrific honour guard the Charnel Reapers, whose ferocity they seek to imitate. So complete is the Wrath's devotion to Arbra'Gax, that the Bloodthirster's fury has seeped into their souls and set them aflame with hate. As a result mere slaughter is not enough for these feral warriors and at the end of a battle, the Wrath fall upon the corpses of the slain, cannibalizing friend and foe alike in a hideous victory feast. Blood is guzzled, skin is peeled, then hacked into ragged cloaks and face masks that are draped across the Wrath's armour. Bones are ripped free and pushed through the warriors' skin as crude totems, while organs are crushed to a foul paste that is used to anoint weapons and wargear. Finally, all that remains are the fleshless skulls of the fallen, which are piled into tottering heaps as an offering to Khorne, before the Warband leaves in search of new prey. Such is their savage reputation that even in murderous haunts as Commorragh and the Eye of Terror, they are whispered of with awe.[1a]
