I'm really proud of this guy! He was mostly drybrushing and was an absolute blast to paint! I magnetized the weapon arms so I could play around with his weapon load outs. I can't wait to give him a try!

Great model and I really love the pose, very aggressive! I am curious - how exactly is it secured to the base? Is there a pin in there? Is it needed to secure the model or are you just being safe? I plan on getting one of these eventually so I would like to know more about how stable it is in regards to posing it and having it safe on the base still :tu:

Looks like a pin hole in that fancy base to me, so along with some glue that should keep it secure I reckon. Resin isn't heavy don't forget. Anyway, I'm not here to muse on how good the gluing is :P Excellent work, a very well done dynamic pose and a nice golden colour :tu:

Thanks guys! I used the thickest pin I could find, drilled upward through the toe at an angle! I added the plasticard stone "steps" on the base to create more thickness for the pin!

If you're not going for a fancy pose, you don't need the pins - but I always pin or magnetize large models as a force of habit (gives me peace of mind)!

Looks amazing. I love the purple and gold. The base is excellent too... where did you get the pillars from?

I am not too familiar with his rules...when you use him you have to do up a batrep please!

Looks great dude. Looking at it, I regret magnetizing mine at the centre, which limitis the pose :biggrin.:

How did you made the collums?

I got them from Secret Weapon! Link below:

Definitely! I'm not a competitive player (my friends and I play with what's available), but I expect him to be extremely durable and just a plain nuisance once I teleport him!

The ruined pillars are from Secret Weapon:

What is your teściów for gold it looks So nice

Thank you! Gold recipe below:

  1. Basecoat Retributor Gold Spray
  2. Wash the model with Reikland Fleshshade Gloss (the gloss shade is shinier and flows better into recesses).
  3. Once dry, wash the model with a lighter shade of Druchii Violet mixed with Lahmian Medium (purple is the secret ingredient)!
  4. Drybrush the model with Golden Griffon (don't go too heavy - just hit the raised areas - you can always add more later)
  5. Edge Highlight with Stormhost Silver (apply this to the edges only - too much will kill the gold)! If you apply this correctly (and sparingly), it will make the whole model pop!

Hope this helps! I have more examples in my Instagram.

Thanks for that link. I wonder if they ship to Canada? Anyone have experience with that?

Purple is also my secret ingredient. I've done an article on it actually on my blog. I love the effect it has on the retributor/spray. :tu:
