Renegade T'au

Not sure, I know people have made Gue'vesa armies using kitbashed cadians and firewarriors to really cool effect. So with that infantry wise you totally could, but im not sure how youd handle the tanks in a way that makes sense.

You can proxy anything if you try hard enough; my question is ... why? R&H seem like a poor fit for the long range, high tech feel of the Tau.

@Azekai I think Corrupted T'au would a fun aesthetic, and then I'd still be using "official" rules if I proxy them. I'm not keen on Homebrew.

Regarding tanks, I was considering Leman Russ rules.

I mean it's kinda nested, but I do kinda love the idea of an imperium world that was brought into the greater good, then abandoned by the Tau for whatever reason and the world left to chaos both figuratively and literally.

Human Gue'vesa and maybe some almost ork style Russ/Tau tank kitbashes.

The issue with the total Russ proxy is that there are so many weapon options for the thing that asking your opponent to remember that its a Russ as well as this type of flavor is a bit much IMO. That said if you put the work into the idea I think people will totally respond well.

Sounds cool- works better as allies rather than a stand alone, and if you are sticking with chaos R&H make way more sense than, say, daemons.

Rather than fully hybridize the vehicles, what if you replaced the turret gun and sponsons with Tau weaponry? Mabye have some exposed cabling and/or clumsily added generators. A tank doesn’t have to be a 50% Tau to convey a heretical ‘tech heresy’ feel.
