Pure Primaris tend to be short on anti-tank - Hellblasters can't do it alone - so the las options make it a good tank hunter. In a mixed army with Predators and Dev Squads, the heavy bolters/onslaught cannons/ iron hail stubbers provide a LOT of anti-infantry power.
