Night Lords Demon Prince Concept

Recommended Posts

The idea I had was to get the FW Conrad Curze model (expensive) and modify it with the helmet bits from th AoS keldrek wraight knight which I already have. I also have 7 pairs of tyranid gargoyle wings left after converting a lord and two rhino chassis vehicles.

My question to the Chaos vets is do you thing the Curze model, based on its non-scenic base, needs the demon prince wings to attain a suitable wsisyg profile of a demon prince. Of course I would prefer to use gargoyle wings, but I’m not sure if it’ll create a big enough “footprint,” as I dont have a demon prince model to work with.

Any help appreciated.

Gargoyle wings are nice for regular CSM raptors, might be a little small for a Primarch-sized mini. Unfortunately, I can't offer a decent GW alternative- non-daemonic Primarchs occupy a pretty unique niche in the range.

Maybe these wings from Wargames Exclusive? They are meant for an off-brand chaos primarch like thing.

Gargoyle wings are far too small for a Primarch. However, if you can find some Balrog wings, those are very decently sized:

You could also use the Hive Tyrant's wings, as I've seen those used for Daemon Princes as well:

Thanks for the advice. I know the demon prince comes with a 60mm base but I don’t know what size the Curze model comes with, and it seems to have 2 bases.

I really like the look of the hive tyrant wings and will probably go with that to not look too apart from my gargoyle wings. Thanks again for the suggestions.

All of the Primarchs are on a 40mm base that slots into a display base. The display base for Curze is 60mm, as can be seen here:

Hive tyrant wings (or balrog wings) are gonna be huuuuuge on Curze.

Exactly what I was afraid of. Ideally, I’d like to find some wings that split the difference, I just dont really have hands on time with models other than the ones I own.

Thank you for answering all of my questions about base size in fell swoop!

The thing is this:

They'll look huge, but they'll actually be of a size where his body size can be lifted from the ground.

Yes, I know. Daemon Prince doesn't follow laws of physics.
