Do it! :)

 

First narrative crusade battle against death guard. Ningai Khan and his warriors destroyed the traitors in round 4 and claimed both Reaper and slay the warlord, and gained a lot of experience which will be used for new skills.

 

The units that was most valuable was the assault intercessors who blended through the death guard and the inceptors raining fire and charging. Assault intercessors squad “Urugai” claimed 3 destroyed units.

@sanguinaryguardsman Thanks! It was a great fight! His turn 3 I felt very discouraged because he killed a lot of scars with smites and some weird flamer-weapon, but reivers and intercessors charged in and broke his army. Round 4 only his character was left surrounded :)

@sanguinaryguardsman Thanks! It was a great fight! His turn 3 I felt very discouraged because he killed a lot of scars with smites and some weird flamer-weapon, but reivers and intercessors charged in and broke his army. Round 4 only his character was left surrounded :smile.:

I am trying to restart them. The short version is my massive Ultra army is coming back to me from a foreign land, and the owner wanted me to have them back. I needed to raise a few bucks so I sold the Scars on Ebay. 

 

I do miss them. It seems absolutely insane to do this, but I'm trying to rebuild them, but not sure if there's much logic in having two marine armies that will be needing a lot of overlap on units.

I so understand! In this hobby sometimes things we do don’t make sense. I’ve painted armies almost completely just to be uncertain and strip all models, or paint a lot just to get tired of the army and then sell it, only to start to paint the same army.

Sounds like my chaos space marines.  Started as renegades, then world eaters, then i painted a bunch of death guard which i decided to use as red corsairs, back to world eaters, and then paralysis where things stand now.  This army needs a codex... it has no identity and garbage tier rules I can't get behind.

My thinking here is that when I sold my (third) fully painted UM army, I wouldn't want to repaint that many blue models no matter how much I liked them. So I thought I want to try a very different marine army out that I've never painted. 

 

White Scars were good to me. I did really well with them, and came up with that  messy technique I see more and more of. Then out of the blue the guy who bought my Ultra's says he's been transferred to a foreign country... I tell him I can't afford to buy them back, he wants me to have them, and so I have them coming back at a crazy good discount.

 

I've added some Indomitus to my Ultra's since I sold the White Scars, but I had a 'proxy' game using White Scars last night, vs. Tau... it was fun! :) I'm tempted!!! I see more painted stuff in threads like this and it further tempts me as well! I must be crazy. lol

Love it. You get the angles so sharp on your designs. I’ve started doing this myself more as a result. I used to tape everything but now I trust myself a bit more.

Thanks man! Yeah i do not mask, just using a sharp brush :)
