The Chogoris born part of the brotherhood was alarmed when black markings started to appear on units consisting of Primaris. Concern and suspicion riddled the command echelons, that lodges has started to rise throughout the primaris detachments. The chapter had a troublesome past regarding lodges and fear of internal schism rose.

Soon it became apparent that it had nothing to do with lodges, but markings throughout the primaris to signify elite-status.

Progress tonight: the acting captain (until otherwise noted), aggressor and 2 dreadnoughts (you all know how white scars feel about being put in a dreadnought...but you just cant let some great warriors pass into the unknown)

Your Marines are well-assembled and painted.

As for the White Scars Dreadnoughts, I remember a White Dwarf article in which a White Scar was attacked from behind, and though he found being interred in a Dreadnought a horrible fate, he nonetheless chose it because he found it intolerable to die before he could take revenge on the coward who brought him low. Such an explanation can easily work for yours.

White Scars Contemptor 1: "I will not rest until I crush the life out of the Alpha Legion [female dog] who stabbed me in the back!"

White Scars Contemptor 2: "The World Eaters will not escape justice for my fallen brothers and my missing limbs!"

They do use them, however as you said its not a fate any would wish. They mostly guard their reliquaries and shrines.

Thanks bjorn and sarabando for the input!

The tale of former brother-captain, or khan, is a tale of sorrow and death. He now only lives on interred in a dreadnought with the sole purpose of the hunt of the greenskin warboss Snargrikk that destroyed his mortal body. The present khan often take heed of the ancient walkers wisdom.

This is well-written. The Contemptor should bear Ork skulls- maybe an upside-down bosspole, displayed as a deliberate insult to the xenos- to provoke the Orks, and hopefully, draw Snargrikk to him, so he may have his revenge.

Have you decided on a name? If not, may I suggest "Choibalsan," after the "Stalin of Mongolia"?

Great idea! I will try to find ork-skulls somewhere! I like that name! It seems you just named my Dreadnought

I'd suggest investing in some black cardboard or such and probably good lightbulbs as well to increase the picture quality (basically building a photobox). The models look great but much of it gets lost with those blurry pictures which is probably part of the reason why you get so few comments (aside of the WS subforum being pretty dead). ^^

Still looking good and crisp.

That old assault marine really shows the scale creep.

Thanks alot brother, appreciate it!

From basecoat to almost done (minus arms and weapons) in a few hours. I love When the painting-process has settled. I value finding a fast process with minimal fuss and acceptable standard!
