What is everyones feeling on the death wing color scheme? Im personally not a fan of the color scheme and wanted peoples opinions on ideas and such for a new color scheme for a command squad I may vow to do over the next week.

Im thinking some combination of dark angels disciples The picture bellow is a good reference point in how I kind of would like them to lookgallery_106278_14586_43518.jpggallery_106278_14586_622000.jpg

Please any and all feed back is wanted

The weapon loadouts is what people look at on the models to see what it is, go crazy with everything else. Give your regular terminators tabards if that's what you want. As far as color scheme, make a successor and nobody will be able to complain.

Malarki, are you looking at a terminator command squad? So you want to avoid the bone DW scheme?

You could always go 'traditonal DA black and red, using that lovely green shading of yours on hoods and tabards etc? The Knights are the elite of the elite after all...

If your looking at power armour guys, they don't need to be DW so you can go with whatever works, like the guys say if you opted for a successor you have even more room.

That Primaris Chaplain is just gorgeous so anything you want to paint like that is going to look fab.

The short answer is they are your models, build and paint them however you like.

Btw I really like the model.

I think I decided I was going to do knights I really like the black with the green on my chaplain so ill make it that.... which in turn follows the diciples of caliban color scheme

Thank both of you for your compliments on my model its by far my favorite 1 that ive painted to date. I will post a finished picture of the squad as well as an interogattor chaplain when they are done! so you guys can view just want to finish building them and prime them before I make the Vow since I need to power out in about a week

Have you looked at Disciples of Caliban at all? I chose them because while awesome if you can pull it off the paint scheme was not to my liking or ability. I liked the black and hunter green on all my models thus I kept the DW apoth unique as well as the champion and everyone else got a black and green color scheme.

Your army your paint my friend you have great lines and good pop.

Personally though I like the gravis armor scheme (close to Disciples of Caliban though so go figure.)

Good hunting my fellow fallen!

Malarki, you really have a way with capes! That red is a great time, how did you achieve it? I assume steady layering from red but with a pink (screamer pink maybe)?

I think you already decided the Chaplin scheme is the way to go :) but your should have no problems drawing on these others for slight variations!

You will make the Lion proud brother!

Too add to this if they are not deathwing knights and are the command squad, im guessing i cant use the tunic versions of the models to do the models?

I just put tabards and robes on squad leaders and HQs unless they are a specialist vet unit like DWKnights of company vets. I have no lore choices behind this it’s just a nice way of distinguishing the squad leader and HQs and making them stand out.

Thank you! honestly thought its just layering of mephistone red with just smooth strokes... I also chose not to put any type of shade on it since I liked how smooth it looked

I only used water on a wet palet for the paint

Ya my armies is suppose to be close to disciples! as far as i'm concerned they are disciples of Caliban scheme I just cut out what I didn't like about how they are painted and kept what I wanted

I don't like the look of the models I have tried to paint black or even with just black parts... the parts tend to look like I haven't painted them.

So I did a variation of the Disciples of Caliban color scheme with Bone and Green.

The bone color is Zandri Dust, Aggrax Earthshade, Terminus Stone.
