Not much the weather has been hot and I am/was burnt out from doing/finishing 10 scouts, 2 LTs, a captain, 2 honor guard, an apothacary, 5 dev squad, and retro fitting a Talon. with finishing new bases and touch-up on a 10 man tac squad. Plus Shrike & a Libarian, in just over 14 days. Maybe I dont need to do a vow after all. But I want in 2 weeks 2 Las canons 2 Missile launchers 2 Heavy bolters 1 Dev sarge in 3 weeks 5 man tac squad possibly a LT or another smash captain. Unsure if I should paint then all in this style or in the red boots and black your thoughts? Base coat will be black either way, the white covers better on a dark color. I am playing them as scouts, they have scout arms and weapons, but he body's and heads of guards. i liked the modeling of the guards better and they are cheaper. WickedApp Posted August 6, 2018 Author Share Posted August 6, 2018 Well it has been 2 weeks and I have missed my Vow. Shame on me (not really, i did other Real Life things that take priority). I also spent some time working on another Gaming Hobby for a tournament ( I lost badly so i guess I should have spent the time on GW Minis instead). I am ging to change my 2nd Vow. I currently need a way to haul the little men so I will be working on a storage travel case. Pics of the WIP, Other pics will follow when I get to that. I am going to try and get my RazorBack done. goal is to magnitize stuff. i want a old looking worn Razor. I had an idea for putting guys in the back ready for action but the size ratio is way wrong. So, I can put 1 guy sitting down aiming out the back hatch. Or I can put 1 guy(apothecary) operating on a Primaris Marine who is bleeding out. any thoughts which would look cooler? He looks silly just sitting on the floor. Of course, if he's wounded- you paint bloodstains on the Rhino floor, and green stuff some spilled guts- then the sitting position no longer looks silly, but like one last act of defiance. WickedApp Posted December 31, 2018 Author Share Posted December 31, 2018 The real problem is the limited size of the compartment inside the Razor. A kneeling model (which I have one of) will not fit. the head will hit the top. a model lying down on the belly will be too long with a big gun, and would look stupid with a small gun. I liked the Idea of a guy bleeding out. I wanted to do that pose with a medic over them. I though of putting a guy who is shot up in that pose leaning against the back wall but it is too far back to see very well. Even the guy right at the hatch is hard to see with out a direct light source on him or the top has to be removed. I think that would make the appearance of him bleeding out hard to show.
