Sea Reaper Posted July 24, 2018 Share Posted July 24, 2018 I know this is a really weird question. I just notice many hybrid models and artwork show them wearing masks and nose tubes. I wasn't sure if this was just for artistic style, to help them work in the mines like so many do, or if the different generations actually have breathing issues from the hybrid DNA. Or to have the smell of the hive with them when they go outside alone to perform their day job/steal supplies/murder that inquisitor who's nosing around. I ever think genestealer hybrids have some health issues for the mix of genes, like the one you guys mentioned. Dont sure if its ever mentioned in the fluff, but the change to the genestealer nose to the human one can make the internal canals obstructed or inefective. So they need some help. And i think they can have this problems to: -Spine problems in the 3º gen, when your back and legs are in the middle of both species it must be painfull imo. -Eyes more sensitives for the lack of any hair in the Hybrids, so they use minning googles to protect the eyes besides the labor times.
