Iron Warriors Zone Mortalis 750pts

My friends and I are getting a Battle of Phall themed campaign going, and we're starting at 750pts. Having not played ZM much, could I get some list feedback?

HQ: Centurion 155pts

- Forge Lord

- Cortex Controller

- Cyber Familiar

- Artificer Armor

- Boarding Shield

- Thunder Hammer

Troops: Breacher Squad 245pts

- Artificer Armor on Sgt

- Power Fist on Sgt

- 2 Flamers

Elites: Terminator Squad 210pts

- 5 Power Fists

- Heavy Flamer

Heavy Support: Castellax 135pts

- Frag Grenades

- Enhanced Targeting Array

How can I expect to do against Fists, Auxilia and/or Imperial Militia armies?

I think you've calculated your points wrong on the breachers, sarge with AA and a powerfist will cost you more than that. Stick with the two Flamers, no need to deck out the sarge for CC.

Are you keen to go with the mechanicum flavour? It just feels like your HQ and that Castellax are a bit expensive for what they can do.

Personally, I would agree with Ultramarinebo above. Perhaps consider switching the Forge Lord for a Delegatus to make use of a Rite of War at 750 points. There is even a Zone Mortalis themed one which can buff your Breachers.

With that in mind, I have drafted a quick replacement list that is in keeping with the theme you seem to be after (i.e. Blasts and Templates that will come into their own in ZM)

HQ: Delegatus - 120

- Artificer Armour

- Refractor Field (Better than a Boarding Shield as the Inv is constant 5+ and if you put him in the Breacher Squad he will still benefit from the charge defence)

- Combi-Flamer

- Master-Crafted Thunder Hammer (Master-Crafted is a free upgrade with the Delegatus)

*Rite of War - Zone Mortalis Assault Force: Only bonus you need to worry about is that if all your Breachers are in base contact, they get +1 Inv.

Troops: Breacher Squad (10) - 250 / 370

- 2 Flamers

- Combi-Flamer

- Melta Bombs (Sgt. Only)

- Vexilla

Elites: Apothecary - 70 / 440

- Artificer Armour

- Combi-Flamer

- Augury Scanner

Heavy Support: Tyrant Siege Terminators - 310 / 750

- Combi-Melta

- 2 Chainfists

EDIT: Reworked equipment based on Lokkorex's suggestion.

Delegatus and Apothecary joins the Breachers, who stay in base contact to benefit from the Rite of War. Tyrant Siege Terminators are better than the standard Terminators and will be amazing in ZM thanks to all the blasts from their Missiles. Combi-Meltas and Chainfists are always good too.

Generally speaking, they should perform well against Imperial Fists, and smash Auxilia.

If i remember correctly, only the sergeant in a tyrant siege terminator squad can take a combi-weapon.

Or did fw change them in the latest faq? I haven't read it very closely.

Cheers for that! You are correct, I clearly didn't read it properly haha. Can tell I am not an Iron Warriors player...

I went with Melta Bombs on the Breacher Sgt., a Vexilla and a third Chainfist in the Tyrant Siege Terminators in my example list.

However, that also means that Knight_Commander gets some spare points to play with in case they don't like the alternative list I suggested. Will be interesting to see where they go from there.
