What's the strangest place you have found a lost model?

So last night my wife was getting ready to cook some perogies when she found the left exhaust pipe of my repulsur in the  freezer. It has been missing for eight months and we have no idea how it got in there. It was not going to be broken apart because it was glued just fine. Very curious.  So where have you discovered missing model that made you scratch your head or just laugh?

Eldrad Ulthran- went missing in 2003 was found in 2009 under a coffee table. The only problem i had with his "return" was that the table had been moved numerous times over those six years during cleanings and rearrangings.

Eldar Pathfinder- was discovered missing after use as a d&d mini in 2001 (i drove a Ford Taurus then). Was mysteriously found in the glove box of my GMC Jimmy in 2003 before going missing again after another d&d session the same year. Only to again turn up in the glove box of my Ford escort in 2006. Shortly after that he disappeared again only to turn up on the employee display shelf in the gamestop i worked at (this was still 2006). I packed him away in my pocket to take home only to find him missing upon arriving. He finally turned up in the bed built into the back of my Chevy conversion van on the day i sent that to the scrap yard in 2007. Either he did not like being used as a d&d mini OR he took his Eldar path VERY seriously.

Alright I don't think that can be beaten. Either you are VERY forgetful or friends of yours randomly found him and randomly put him somewhere else and didn't bother to tell you. :D

Think for me it's the sheer number of times I have left my scout snipers at GW...they're painted with winter pattern cloaks and the board I play on the most was at the time painted winter tones...found them easily enough but they got left a whole bunch in one spot.

Wulf wins hands down though. Very characterful story and absolutely crazy.

I may need to check my Eldar box because I'm just now noticing the connection between that pathfinder and my vehicles and I don't currently own a vehicle.

I can't accept a "victory" for that. At the time it happened the Eldar weren't actually mine. In fact they were left in my care and didn't become "mine" until 2009 or 10.

Any night can be perogie night. Slightly off topic but I discovered my brother had put up various models around the house with the help of his kids, 80% are mine from 20 years ago or so and I would love to have them back. But with his tragic passing 2 years ago I accept I shall never have them back, too dang important to my nephews. I do plan on teaching them how to play so maybe one day I may face off against my one time minis.

At one point I had found a rhino in my driveway that had apparently been there the entire winter. I had made a joke thread in the WIP forum about realistic ice and snow effects, which elicited many eyerolls from people who thought the effects were incredible upon seeing the pictures until they read the process of how I accomplished them.

I need that link.

I recently found a sitting guardsman inside a chimera I disassembled for parts.. Must have been hiding there since at least 2009. He was pointed to the nearest commissar.

I gather it's one of my aborted chimera conversion ideas that got sealed shut later on.

With such a good memory, no wonder I have multiple old named guardsmen (marbo, creed, Macharius, Harker to name a few), it's almost a law that if I bought a character type guy I'd probably find his twin somewhere at home at the bottom of a drawer later on...

Your Eldar apparently still don't agree about being yours. :tongue.:

Also don't break the cycle! Just wait for him to appear in your next vehicle again or you might never see him again!

I'm sure that somewhere, there's an Emergency Room technician or nurse who could come up with an answer to beat you all. :teehee:

A friend of mine once stepped on a Dark Eldar warrior. The old ones, all spikes and malice. To add to the injury, the warrior was holding its splinter rifle, bayonet and all, pointing up.
