It's amazing how darker armor completely changes Wulfen from laughable cartoonery to passable badassery. Bravo for changing my mind about them!

I like the blue skin colour of the Wulven. Makes them look warped instead of cartoony.

Thank you for the kind words! The Wulfen and Stormclaws (Skyclaws) are my favorite units. The color scheme is inspired by the heresy armor scheme and the 6th edition codex art (Page 30 in the new codex). I wanted to show that the remaining members of the 13th have updated their gear but chosen to retain their colors and every marine in my army has the 13th company’s badge of the Wulfen on one of their shoulders.

 

The blue skin on the Wulfen is to symbolize the Helfrost that is slowly being dripped into their veins from their back piece. The Helfrost helps to “chill” the wulfen’s berserk rage and allows them to follow the wolf priests commands and the tactics of their hunting party.
