Reivers don't have smoke grenades normally though. They have those shock grenades so it must be either a new Reiver unit type or a model with those similar type of grenades.

I've got to say, since we've got three smoke plumes, I'm starting to wonder if GW has some sort of "battlefield effects" set planned? Maybe something akin to AoS Malign Sorcery, with the spell models? Or perhaps more basing materials?
would be neat for "official" battlefield effects.
your tank got destroyed? leave it where it died and put these *GW BATTLEFIELD EFFECTS~ (its just a couple of smoke plumes) on it

They might be updated with new rules and become grenade specialists.

What if they are Reivers with chainswords?
I'd rather get a purpose built assault and chainsword unit that has appropriate armor

The only thing I would accept on reivers would be camo cloaks and sniper rifles to make new scouts
And no skull helmets! That's the immortal visage of the Emperor, and only chaplains should use it!

That would be sweet. 2 shot sniper rifles and optic camouflage.

On first hearing about the reivers, I wanted their helmets to be a mix of alien skulls.
with the squad leader have a human skull helm.

Depends if its a fast moving assault unit or not. fast moving would probably just wear something similar to tacticus but with a jump pack, slow moving I agree would probably have more plating.

Kinda have to agree with that statement. Good thing I didn't use the skull helmets or skull masks for mine anyway lol

Also, primaris are not meant to be so superstitious (currently) so that may not really apply.

Humanity may be worshipping the Emperor, but the Astartes can be a symbol of his original ideals.

If this and the previous Rumour Engine are in fact part of a new Primaris release, then I suspect they'll be released alongside the campaign/narrative push they talked about at NOVA. Unless this is part of one of the models in the Blackstone Fortress box. There could be a Primaris there, as part of the Rogue Trader's retinue.

primaris deathwatch marine would be pretty cool for blackstone. In the RPG it talked about using the solo deathwatch prestige thing to have a lone deathwatch marine in a game of rogue trader.

I'm not 100% it is a smoke grenade. We can see by the paint that whatever it is is quite small, so a grenade might be the right size. The smoke is coming out of what would be the side of the grenade which seems a bit off to me. The rest of the thing is cropped so it could be bigger than what we see. I think it could be a bit of wrecked machinery. If it is a smoke grenade it appears to be nestled in rubble which would add to the theory its scenery on a base. Maybe the first Primaris special character?

Your opinion is important, and someone posting here probably does care what you think. You should go tell them. Remember that it really hurts to come up with an idea you care about and have no one else care. Go care about something and tell them what you think. Now. Think of what it would have meant to you when you were young.

It’ll be a new Reiver character. Like Neve Blackthorn.
And lets tie the Chapter down while we're at it. Ultramarines.

I wouldn’t mind a reiver character, so long as he isn’t an ultramarine. I think they already have 9 or 10 or so. A reiver might make an interesting Raven Guard character, IMO.
