Carnodon is up on Forgeworld (the 30k Solar Aux/ Militia Predator equivalent).

Most surprising thing is the inclusion of 40k rules PDF.

Once again Volkite has differing rules - this time it's all about Mortal Wonuds!

Can't link as FW is blocked at work msn-wink.gif

I think the Solar Aux one is my favourite with FOUR Multilasers each...

Unsure how I feel about the TL Lascannon turret, seeing as TL-Las preds weren't around in the heresy.

Do any other Solar vehicles have this TL Las?

The Leman Russ annihilator was also around, I do like this tank and if my Solar Auxilia army ever gets some traction (hehehe) I'll have a couple of these and some bigger tanks!

I hope GW updates their Volkite weapons to match FW.

Well this is awsome.

Can we also talk about that the 40K-variant also can be kitted out Volkite on all hardpoints! :D

Both the Leman Russ Annihilator and Malcador Annihilator are tanks in the Solar Auxilia arsenal with TL lascannon turrets. Nothing new about that. 😁

Edit: The point cost vs. firepower gained here seems so good for my Auxilia I'm kinda blown away. For 80 points apiece (multilaser in pintle, volkite sponsons), I can put 3 of these on the table (240 points total) for one Heavy Assault slot. That is only a little more in point cost than a single Leman Russ Incinerator and, although it's 6 vs 7 str, the squadron has a total of 24 Heavy/Deflagarate shots and 9 Multilaser shots... for the price of a Leman Russ that has no sponsons on it. I could easily run 2 squadrons of these screening my Infernus and cause all kinds of confusion and angst on the table top. lol :0

To me both this and the Aurox are just cooler looking Rhinos and Predators.

I really like -

a - The model

b -The fact that Auxilia and Militia have different weapon options, reflecting the lack of resources a Militia force would be dealing with

c - The Auxilia tank can have all Volkite weapons

d - Apparently all the weapon options are included in the kit

I don't like -

a - It costs more in pounds than it does in points, same as the Aurox.

Sigh.

Love how it looks, would be really unique in a 40k Astra Militarum force.

Guard get a better Predator than the Space Marines do. Says it all, really.

Yes, but the Spacemarines get Sicarians, Deimos Predators (plasma executioner, Heavy conversion beamer, magnamelta etc) and Leviathans so I think it'll be fine. ;)

Don't forget BS4.

Which is all still significantly worse than a tank that can fire its main gun twice at bs3, and possibly give itself reroll 1s too boot.
Only marine vehicle even close too as good as a russ is possibly the venator.

In other, on topic news, the tank is cool.

I really like the look of this thing. It's a darn shame I'll never be able to buy one unless I visit the UK now.

Since FW for North America is coming from the states now, anyone know if I'll get hit by tarrifs as well as the price increases as a Canadian citizen? That's like the one fear that's keeping me from ordering any more fw

How can a Leman Russ shoot it's turret twice or get reroll 1's to hit in Heresy?

You answered your own question. It's obviously about 40k and not 30k.

I know how it's perceived in the english speaking community and I already try to tone it down but I barely notice when it's too much since it's normal for me.

So yeah, I'm really not rude it's basically just cultural differences that act against me here. Again, I apologize.

Nice model.

Great for 30k with it's cheap points and nice enough armour/firepower.

8th edition rules? I find myself struggling to consider taking one for Guard when the Leman Russ is just flat out better in every regard beyond two specific loadouts ( 4 multilasers and 4 autocannons )

I think the autocannon one with a pintle multilaser would be the best option. 118 points all in all. not bad for 8 autocannon rounds and 3 multilaser shots. Though not convinced on how useful it will be.

Looks like volkite is the way to go for 40k if you want a multi purpose tank. These would look great in vostroyan colors.
