The five Iron Warriors kill-team are now finish.  With the unit been use during the Warhammer World campaign event & also current battle it out that my gaming club campaign that started last week.

 

 

Then the Armiger, both where painted on Sunday from start up until varnish stage.  With weather powder & Blood for the blood god done a few days later with all the other models needed for Warhammer World.

 

 

 

 

8 out of 10 Cultist.  There current finish now, so there photo be shown that the weekend. 

 

World Eater Contemptor Dreadnought that was bought during Warhammer World, along with a three more pack of World Eater upgrade.  The Helbrute just arrive two days ago after seen the model on ebay.  So make a few changes, more base & trophy & then re-paint the model.

 

The two Exalted Champion for Call of Chaos side of things.

 

 

 

 

 

Then three Berserker that toward Call of Chaos.  The other two battle brother for this squad & complete there vow for Call of Chaos, will be base upon two Daemonkin Warbands.

 

 

So as said the two Berserker will be base upon these two Daemonkin warbands.

Okay so I would love to say I have been wonderfully productive over the down time... But I would be lying.  So allow me to present the first WIP shot for the army, my Cultists.  Yes I know they are am mixed bunch but, at the end of the day, I wanted different looking models in the squad.  That and I have already painted a few others of the autogun squad.  And one lost his arm/gun to an imperial priest conversion a few Trooping the Guards back...

 

So here we have a squad of cultists, led by Iomon the Enlightened, during the Accouros Uprising.

I completed my squad of Chaos khorne cultists (x10)

Follow on from getting my Armies on Parade board built the week before the deadline (yesterday) & getting it painted in five hour.

 

 

 

Here my Call of Chaos vows update, copy post from my army log:

 

 

Just wanted to get a quick photo of my Kill team which is current taken part in a campaign I am current running that my gaming club.

 

 

 

Then the Cultist for Call of Chaos.  There another two get model before the vow complete.  I've got one them built so far.

 

This was one of the reason I've been looking forward to the Necromunda release.  Aim to try add a few more models like this.  There will be another unit Cultist when the Pit Slaves get release.

 

Just for the Contemptor Dreadnought finish for Call of Chaos.  Like a lot my current World Eater, keen eye will notice there 8 skulls/trophy - four on the hull, four on the base.

 

 

 

It the same for the Helbrutes with the 8 skulls/trophy

Two of the Helbrute are part my Call of Chaos vows.  I painted these back in 2007 for my Black Legion force, when codex Chaos Marines was release for 4th ed.  There was a third one but I've not been able to find the model that all

 

But I'm going to get these models re-painted.

 

 

 

This Helbrute arrive during the week there.  I've just replace the right CCW arm for a Plasma Cannon & just getting the base fit in line with the rest of the army.
*This helbrute is not part of the Call of Chaos vow...  Unless Semper allow him, it doesn't change my rank & just give me a extra model to paint in the long run.  Was unplanned/saw the Helbrute on ebay as a buy now for a good price & it look cool in the running pose conversion

 

 

 

Got these to get built by the end of the week for a event I'm going to that the end of October.

My Slaaneshi Iron Warrior Chaos Lord, head of a small IW contingent allied to the Psychopomps. Sonic oblits still to be made.
...and he’s my sole entry for Call of Chaos.
Power axe (arm is magnetised) and combi-plasma (ignore the powerfist. The combi looked so much better on the back of there than a normal arm). I tried to pose him a little reminiscent of his primarchs 30k mini.

Whoopsie! I overdid it a little. One of the units I vowed was a unit of 10 plaguebearers. But apparently I can't count, so I accidentally did a unit of 30.   

 

 

I also painted three Nurgling Bases and a Poxbringer, but apparently I also cannot plan ahead and I didn't vow them here. So you can se them in this post in my thread.

Here's my progress to date. Not my best photos - I'll do better next time.

That's two of six pledged units down, but 20 of 32 models finished, so I'm feeling decent about hitting the completion target. I'm particularly pleased with how the blades have come out - the blending is decent and it didn't take an obscene amount of time.

 

Keen observers will notice the sword hilts are different colors. This is a solution - suggested by a nice opponent - to differentiate between units while still keeping them similar looking. One unit has gold, one bone and one black. 

 

Up next is the Karanak-counts as (actuallly a Puppetswar Barghest Jaeger) to break up painting Bloodletters and heralds a bit.

 

I'm enjoying painting these more than I expected, honestly. Part of the fun has been getting to put them on the table - my last game I got really lucky and had three units of Bloodletters reach assault on turn 2 against an all-Jetbike Aeldari army, slaughtering three units that would have been very difficult to catch up with.
