right, I think im ready now to build and paint some more titans. I decided to take a short break but it took me 5 weeks to get me excited again.

 

(my other hobby, darts, took all my time in the last two months or so)

 

but now im ready to jump in again.

almost finished building my warhounds this week. have to finish them on sunday so I can start building the second reaver for my vow.

I hope to complete my vow before the end of february, if I can manage to do that then it is time to do something else. (crazy?) :)

Assembling Reaver legs is probably the worst part about AT.

.

Most def... I was very thorough, test fit everything, and I still managed to get the lower leg armor backwards....I just went with it...patience and test fitting is key!

I decided to use leftover parts from the tiles I used to make bases for my 28mm knights and Titans.

Looks nice. I have the feeling you might need to lengthen the right leg's cables a little bit.

forgot the cables, luckily I didnt glue anything yet just blue tacked the pieces

Also thinking you might want to double check the left leg for the lateral inner piston + armour plate interaction with the leg armour plate. Easy to solve if not glued

yes, that will not be the final pose :)

It's a nice pose, it just requires a bit more double checking and dry fitting before glueing anything (I have one in a quite similar position, I overlooked the cables first and then how the armour plates of the pistons interacted with those of the legs, all the rest I dry fitted 2 or 3 times).

Very nice. Eager to see them painted. The new Reaver's heads look pretty mean compared to the initial one.

painted some red today, then some red and finally more red. and when I get started I cant stop. did some stripes too (almost as unpleasant as building reaver legs) and few black and white parts too....

Great red indeed - Go Atarus! And the job on the bases is outstanding too! :tu: Personally, I find the stripes the highlight of the painting process, I'm sorry you see art as a burden... 

 

BTW. the white, what colour is it? 

 

You gotta love the Reaver's alternative heads...

white is couple of layers of typhon ash (FW air) on top of vallejo leather brown surface primer, and a layer of satin varnish
