I've been working on these from conception to completion for the past 7 weeks, and they're now ready for the Annihilation event at Warhammer World this Sunday. Hope you like them. Each model stands out in some way, the conversions are subtle but noticeable, as Flame Boy said they aren't over the top but effectively convey the corruption and mutations of the Dark Mechanicus nicely. Was it inks/washes or did you use some other method? It's a bit too weather beaten for my shiny Mechanicus but I'd love to try it out on my Orks. The steps were: Leadbelcher all over. Washed with Agrax all over. Leadbelcher again, but not in the recesses. Targeted wash of 50/50 Mournfang Brown/Medium - most recesses, but also on areas you want staining. Very targetted wash of 75/25 Troll Slayer Orange/Medium - just some of the recesses, if you want a bit more colour. Edge highlighted, and scratches with Stormhost Silver. Doesn't take too long to do for each model. Also, everything has had a coat of the AK Interactive Ultra Matte Varnish too. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
