Hello! Been away a while (40k got boring) know I'm back with Adeptus Titanicus! Really looking forward to it. Thought I would post a log here of my work on my Legio Fureans (Tiger Eyes)! Here is the first Warlord I (finally) got done. Yellow is horrible. But I'm happy with my first time attempting flames

I just followed the color scheme in the Grandmaster assembly book for the warlord. Averland sunset, then Yriel Yellow. Many, many thin coats of yriel yellow. Highlights in Ushabti, then covered in Lamenters Yellow Glaze.

Follow Duncans guide and paint the panels separately.

Lore Time!

The Shere Khan variant of the Reaver Battle Titan was born within Legio Fureans during its pre Unification Battles with aeldari forces. The unparalleled maneuverability of the xenos engines called for a more agile engine of the line. A gifted though still anonymous magos radically redesigned the leg structure, servos, and armor of the standard reaver. Side and rear leg armor was sacrificed and adding temperamental sub reactor boosters straight powering directly to its servos. The result was a far more mobile engine capable of bringing capital grade weapons fire on aeldari engines. The added stress on reactor systems was considered a risk more bloody minded princeps were willing to make.

So yeah. I dont like the fat stumpy reaver legs. My second one will have them... but this first one (and probably the third...) will use this conversion. Credit goes to an awesome poster on 4chan who first presented the idea of using armiger legs. I just added a bit more armor pieces because it looked a little TOO unarmored (hence the reaver piston armor stuck over the toes). Going to use the chain blade as well for a chain fist.

Yeah, great conversion indeed!

I don’t have the Reaver kit yet, nor the Armiger one either, so there are a lot of parts I do not readily recognise, but it sure changes the feel of the Titan from a solid, stompy machine, to an agile, hunter-style one...

I might come back to you for a step-by-step once I get around buying one myself. :)

Leg conversion is wicked! Definitely going to steal when I get a reaver. I think it will make a reaver in a Venator maniple fit aesthetically with his little brothers. And I've seen someone use armiger head parts too.

Lovely Tiger Eye. He was worth all those layers.

  • 4 weeks later...

Still haven't decided on which decals yet... I really love the decals from the other, much better painted Fureans thread. I want to know where he got them!

One last picture

No one seems to be painting the counters and gauges in the batreps which is a shame to me... this whole box set really was a treasure. Got to start work on my warhounds and knights, then onto my Martian wasteland basing. Looking at the warhound sprue I can already tell magnetizing will be a LOT easier. Can't wait.

He looks awesome - certainly an interesting variation from the standard version! The paint job is also very tidy and crisp! :tu: I think it now time for decals! ;)

Also, I think I’ll follow your example with the tokens and the templates while I wait for my Warhounds to arrive! :)
