Neat! Not quite the clunky old vibe I'm used to. But it's good to see the speed Freaks getting new rides.

I might get some of these just for fun, even if I don't collect Orks. I just liek them that much. Starting with the last two, the Rukkatrukk because of SQUIG CANNONS, and the Scrapjet because it's so very obviously inspired by the Deff Skwadron comic, when the Skwadron is stuck with a bunch of wingless jets but the Boss calls them for aerial support, so they just stick wheels, tracks and whatever else they got to the plane bodies and roll out. Just pure, unadultered, glorious orkyness.

Not even a single wheel shared between them - are they really going to be separate kits?! Maybe 2 per box like Warglaives and Warhounds?

Really trying to resist buying an Ork army again (sold mine only last year). I love Ork's, probably my favourite faction overall, but just don't want to paint a horde...

If they do a new Kommando plastic kit, I'm all in. If not, I might get a couple of the buggies and the codex (okay and maybe a Dakka Jet...)

the squig trak is amazing to me.

I giggle everytime I look at that squig trying to not get put in the squig launcher.

might start an ork army and make it based around the squig buggy

in yesterday's regimental standard (da bosspole)

they said hte orks in the octarian system figured out how to use tyranid weapons. and that some of the nids devolved into guns with mouths. and orks feed the guns and shoot things

It all looks like one per box, unfortunately. If these are playable like that, all of those and Ork jets could be a really fun army.

Every time they release a new one of these I get the irresistible urge to start an Ork army. I'm only saved by having to save money and future hobby-time for Slaanesh lol

I think that's not new. Not sure about the Orks using Tyranid weapons part but the Tyranids as weapons sure isn't. Even boneswords are basically just small Tyranid organism.

Orks are probably the only faction in the game that never tempted me, up until now. These vehicles are absolutely great and really capture the essence of Orkish engineering!

I LOVE all these. I am finding myself running out of excuses to build a speed freaks army.

The 40k fluff explained to an outsider:

Some space elves got really into drugs and sex and a big scary monster got born that ate them.
A space wizard got beaten up by a guy who said he was his friend but wasn't and now he's on a life support machine and people worship him because he was super awesome.
Now there are giant men with rocket launcher machine guns and 4 hearts and are really super awesome who beat up everything.
Also there's a bunch of aliens but they don't really do anything and aren't as cool as the rocket machine gun super men, so who cares?

Good effort by GW here. They’ve done 1 buggy per clan and painted them up accordingly. Wasn’t expecting that. Excited for the clan rules now.

It'll be interesting to see the different vehicles painted together in a semi-coherent scheme. My favourite is definitely the Snazzwagon.

I'm curious to see if they'll redo the Battlewagon or not.

Oh yeah, can we also use this thread to talk about that? Because not only does it mention Orks using Tyranid bioweapons, but Daemon weapons too. And Orks that spend too much time playing with Tyranid stuff talking about "four-armed Gork and Mork" and "Da Patriork". Even if most of these are just for laughs, they open up some amazing possibilities for conversions.

Also, the banner art for the article looks a lot like concept art by model designers. Pretty nice as a screensaver too.

Gotta say I love that BoomDakka Snazzwagon, the way the Ork is hanging halfway out the windows and the other is Manning the gun just hits it.

Is it me or do these Orks look a ton better than any of the other orks. They actually look how I imagine they should be. over muscled, thick skull english soccer hooligans.

I am torn between that one and the kustom boom-blaster. A classic hot rod is nothing to scoff at and it's red.

So, are vehicles on bases now a thing? I'm quite fond of the idea myself but it represents a bit of a change from the previous norm.

And flyer.

There's honestly not much of a reason why they shouldn't be on a base now that they mechanically work like any other unit and I fully expect that sooner or later vehicles will always come with bases by default and maybe they'll even lose their hybrid rules (measure to/from the model or the base).

Right, but flyers are something of an exception because without bases, they would look super weird just sat on the tabletop. Tracked/wheeled vehicles by comparison look okay directly on the surface.

I personally wouldn't mind all vehicles being on bases, I prefer consistency across an army (it's why i never use those clear flying stands and just glue the stems into normal bases), and it always bugged me how vehicles look even smaller when compared to infantry because of the extra few mm the infantry have due to their bases.
